When Can ought to all the time silent You Discontinuance a Failing Retailer? | Troubleshooting Fb Adverts

hey everybody Gabriel right here and on this video I am gonna be answering a query that I get requested quite a bit which is when must you cease a failing retailer now as a result of my technique is to concentrate on one product that’s confirmed to promote and basically power it to work it is a query that I get requested quite a bit rightfully so as a result of lots of people you recognize they go all in into one product and it simply does not work out they usually’re they’ve spent like 5 hundred {dollars} they usually begin panicking they’re like you recognize ought to I begin one other retailer ought to I preserve going what ought to I do and that is a legitimate query and so I am gonna be making an attempt my finest to reply that query on this video so with out additional ado let’s get proper into the content material so first off I am gonna provide the brief and easy reply which is principally you must cease a retailer whenever you’ve run out of issues to check and you have but to attain a break-even return on adspend so whenever you’ve examined actually every little thing that you simply really feel like you possibly can take a look at and you are still beneath your breakeven return on adspend that is after I would say you recognize give up that retailer then begin testing one thing else and I am gonna go into that much more in depth I imply that is the entire level of this video now one other factor simply earlier than we get into the in depth stuff is for the technique you’ll want to decide a product that’s confirmed to promote that’s the complete basis of this technique if you do not have that proper then you definately’re simply gonna be losing cash proper the entire the entire level of the technique is that you recognize this you recognize this product is confirmed to work you simply want to determine make it give you the results you want and in order that’s why you possibly can go all in and actually take a look at closely now when you decide a product that you simply simply suppose it is cool however is not proving the promote then that is when you recognize you may actually begin losing some huge cash testing that product and so I’ve one other video on my channel I believe it is referred to as launch it drop transport product and I’m going into this much more on how one can really confirm {that a} product is confirmed to promote so yeah now that I acquired that out of the way in which let’s get into the extra in-depth stuff so to make issues less complicated to grasp I simply laid out my minimal testing framework so basically what meaning is that is the minimal quantity of testing that I normally do for a product that I might begin testing so proper off the bat I might take a look at Three creatives with completely different scroll Stoppers so completely different main clips of the video and so I might take a look at that proper off the bat and now you may also take a look at advert copies and thumbnails thumbnails are additionally crucial after which advert copy may also make all of the distinction proper so these are all issues that you must actually be testing when you’re if you recognize {that a} product is working and also you’re simply making an attempt to determine what you’ll want to do to make it give you the results you want so simply with these 4 take a look at you are taking a look at three to 9 advert units you recognize take a look at advert units now appear like audiences that is one other factor that I will begin testing as quickly as attainable so you recognize testing that ninety-five p.c video of yours ninety-five p.c video viewers proper off the bat and as quickly as I begin getting extra information to check different look-alike audiences I will take a look at these as properly and so generally for every product I will take a look at no less than three sorts of look-alike audiences now as I say no less than as a result of it is normally I will take a look at much more than simply three I will take a look at you recognize as many as I can so I put no less than three sorts of look-alike audiences right here after which for 4 most important international locations so for the US the UK Canada and Australia and in order that simply with the look-alike viewers take a look at you are taking a look at 3 times 4 instances three so three sorts of international locations now three sorts of look-alike audiences 4 international locations after which three segments 1% 1 to 2% 2 to five% and so simply by testing three sorts of look-alike audiences to these three onto the 4 international locations you are taking a look at 36 extra take a look at advert units and so you recognize I simply put right here my favourite look-alike viewers is to check simply as a bit additional ninety-five p.c video viewers prime 5 p.c or 25 p.c guests purchase time spent these are normally the primary two that I will begin testing as a result of they’re simple to get information for after which Add to Cart provoke checkout buy and there is much more that is not likely the purpose of this video now one other factor that I will begin testing is single pursuits so I will take a look at no less than ten broad single curiosity so you recognize like Netflix you recognize like Kardashian issues like that basically introduced curiosity I will take a look at it to all a packet international locations english-speaking and in order that’s one other ten odd units minimal and so generally simply with all that that is ten plus three to 9 plus 36 you are taking a look at no less than fifty add units for every product proper and in order that’s that is what I imply that folks do not they do not take a look at quite a bit for every product is that most individuals will do a technique the place they’re doing like 5 or ten advert units with curiosity and that is all they’re gonna do to check a product proper properly after I take a look at a product I am no less than gonna take a look at all of those various things so no less than 50 advert units and normally it is gonna be much more and so based mostly on that you would be able to determine what your funds must be for on your advert units proper so for example that you’ve got a constraint of 500 {dollars} per product that you simply need to take a look at then you may determine okay oh I am gonna do $10 adverts $10 budgets for my advert units so I can take a look at all these completely different advert units and you recognize I would say this in quite a lot of different movies however the funds of your advert units whenever you’re testing actually does not matter it is only a distinction the one distinction is how briskly you are going to get the information and so I am gonna be speaking about this a bit bit extra on this video as properly however you possibly can you possibly can take a look at with ten greenback advert units and kill dangerous advert units quick and then you definately’ll save some huge cash that means and so that is what you are able to do when you have a restricted funds and when you do not you possibly can simply do a bunch of fifty greenback advert units that is what I love to do to get information as quick as attainable now I additionally need to discuss how one can troubleshoot and optimize your campaigns as you are doing this to actually you recognize give your self the very best likelihood to succeed with a gave it a given product so the very first thing you’ll want to know is your numbers you really want to know what your break-even value per buy and return on adspend is and so I laid out a fast instance right here simply with arbitrary numbers only for these of you who do not know the way to do that so for example that you simply you will have a twenty 5 greenback promoting value for a sure product proper so twenty 5 greenback promoting value and that product prices you six {dollars} shipped so proper you recognize 25 – 6 after which transaction charges that is additionally one thing that is going to return out of your promoting value so you recognize in case your with the common Shopify plan it is 2.7 p.c plus 30 cents and so this may be one other greenback in transaction charges and so this leaves you with eighteen {dollars} in order that’s your margin and that is when you spend your entire margin your entire income on adverts then you definately’re breaking even and in order that’s the place the concept of a break-even value per buy comes from now you possibly can in actuality you possibly can add like you possibly can take off one other 50 Cent’s to this as a result of a small proportion very small like an individual or much less will go to different issues like VA s and issues like that however um it is a good estimation after which based mostly on that you would be able to additionally calculate your break-even return on adspend so you possibly can take the promoting value over your breakeven after which that provides you a break-even return on adspend now as soon as once more that is simplified and each of those are fairly simplified as a result of it does not keep in mind the common order worth facet of issues nevertheless it’s nonetheless you recognize it is ok it is you recognize it is however life are ok to start out optimizing with these numbers so that you simply need to have these numbers down you what you’ll want to know them by coronary heart on your retailer in order you begin testing all of those completely different audiences so you recognize you are testing single curiosity you are testing appear like audiences proper off the bat you will be inform whether or not or not a marketing campaign has potential so after you have spent about three to 5 x your break-even value per buy so within the instance the place you recognize the price per buy is $18 like that final instance when you’ve spent like 80 {dollars} for example in your campaigns and also you see that you do not have even one sale immediately you must know that that marketing campaign does not have potential proper when you’re optimizing for purchases and so you must simply flip off these campaigns pause them after which determine the place the drop-off is occurring determine what’s mistaken along with your marketing campaign do not simply preserve spending cash on the identical campaigns which might be clearly not working proper and so this is sort of a basic use that the three to 5x you break-even value per buy as a result of typically you recognize it’s going to have a gradual begin and then you definately’ll begin getting just a few gross sales and then you definately simply must kill the dangerous advert units proper after which your return on adspend gonna preserve going up however realistically when you’ve spent three to 5 instances your breakeven value per buy in case your funnel was like first rate in any respect you must have no less than one sale out of like randomness from a kind of advert units and so if you haven’t any gross sales then simply pause your campaigns determine the place the drop-off is occurring so I wrote right here for instance if nobody’s clicking in your advert your downside is that you simply’re not getting sufficient clicks proper so then determine how you recognize make take a look at new creatives make higher adverts so that folks really click on and go to your web site if nobody’s including to Curt in your web site work in your product web page proper if that is if that is the issue that you simply’re getting a ton of clicks however nobody’s including to Curt then work in your product web page make it higher and so in my expertise the same old suspect is the is low high quality adverts like out of the vast majority of the circumstances that I see the place somebody’s product is not doing properly the the repair is normally simply they want a greater advert and in order that’s that is the same old suspect and that is assuming that you’ve got picked a confirmed product proper the largest mistake I see freshmen make is that they take the mistaken merchandise but when you know the way to choose a confirmed product then the same old suspect might be low high quality adverts and so when you you recognize when you spent some huge cash on the marketing campaign you see that it it isn’t getting gross sales pause that marketing campaign begin testing new adverts that is what I might do now in case you are on the level the place you have spent you recognize Three to five X your value per buy and you’re getting just a few gross sales now on no account do it’s important to be worthwhile like when you have a return on adspend of 0.2 0.Four that is advantageous at that time that is when you must begin focusing in on what works begin actually optimizing your camp and that is what I am gonna be speaking about a bit bit right here so on your advert units you must have a transparent move fail standards and in order that simply principally means you must have a transparent metric that you simply’re protecting observe of to determine whether or not or not you are going to flip off an advert set whenever you’re doing these assessments and so when you’re testing with larger funds advert units which is what I talked about in quite a lot of my movies and so that is the technique that you’ve got seen me discuss already you should utilize your breakeven return on adspend so principally you possibly can pause something beneath your breakeven return on adspend and normally if you wish to be conservative along with your funds what I will do is I will kill any I will pause any advert set that hasn’t gone on this sale after spending my breakeven value per buy proper and so that is what I will do after I’m testing with larger budgets now the issue with that is that when you’re testing with decrease budgets you are most likely not gonna get gross sales on daily basis proper as a result of for example your breakeven value per buy is $18 however you are testing with $5 at units it’d take as much as 4 days so that you can get sufficient information to determine whether or not or not it is a good asset proper and so in that case with smaller budgets what you are able to do is you should utilize your breakeven value per add to cart’ as your most important metric that can assist you make choices sooner and so principally what you will do is you will pause any advert set that is spent your breakeven value per on the card quantity with out getting any add to carts proper and so this simply helps you to kill advert units quite a bit sooner with the identical type of precept and so on this slide right here I really present you how one can go about calculating your breakeven value per on the cart and it isn’t that difficult so I am simply going again with the instance of the 18 level 18 breakeven value per buy $18 breakeven value per buy when you needed to transform that to your breakeven value per add to cart very first thing you’ll want to know the very first thing you’ll want to do is calculate the conversion fee from add to cart to buy so that is only a screenshot from one in every of my shops and to indicate you the the conversion fee from on the cart to buy so add to cart had a 15% conversion fee after which purchases had a 6.91 conversion fee in order that they calculate the conversion fee from on the cart to buy you possibly can simply take the 6.91 over the 15 level O Three and that provides you a 46% conversion fee from on the cart to buy now all you’ll want to do is you’ll want to take that ratio and apply it to the break-even value per buy so with an $18 breakeven value per buy instances 46 p.c the estimated break-even value per on the cart is eight {dollars} and twenty 9 cents and so you recognize that is quite a bit smaller than eighteen {dollars} so now you solely must spend $eight per viewers to determine if it is a good viewers or not proper in order that’s that is the entire concept with utilizing breakeven value per on the cart as a substitute of breakeven value per buy breakeven value per buy is okay when you you are testing with larger budgets when you’re testing with decrease budgets I undoubtedly suggest utilizing break-even value on the cart it’s going to allow you to kill funds it’s going to allow you to kill advert units sooner and get monetary savings so simply to carry this again to the unique query which was as soon as would you cease a failing retailer basically it comes all the way down to whenever you really feel such as you’ve exhausted your entire testing choices and you have not been in a position to attain no less than a break-even return on adspend so you must take into account switching merchandise at this level you recognize when you’ve examined all of the completely different audiences within the minimal testing framework that I shared initially of the video you have examined completely different squirrel Stoppers completely different movies completely different adverts and nothing appears to work that is when you possibly can take into account switching merchandise simply to present your self a clear slate and begin contemporary as a result of at that time you are actually simply gonna be doing the identical factor over and over and also you’re gonna get pissed off then again when you’re at breakeven or higher that is you recognize you are good that is that is the place you need to be you actually solely must have a break-even return on adspend throughout this testing section as a result of you recognize when you’re at breakeven you possibly can preserve testing new issues with out shedding cash proper that is the fantastic thing about it so when you get to this break-even level you are good and that is when you possibly can actually begin making enhancements and you may enhance your profitability by specializing in the worthwhile audiences that one’s apparent proper killing dangerous advert set scaling those which might be worthwhile however you may also arrange retargeting if you have not but that is one other smart way to enhance your profitability and you can begin making compounding enhancements now what are compounding enhancements it is a bit off subject however I needed to incorporate a fast slide on this simply to let you know the way this works as a result of that is actually what can take a retailer that is simply breaking even to a retailer that is extraordinarily worthwhile so I wrote right here when you’re breaking even along with your retailer you should not essentially cease it as a result of you possibly can considerably enhance your margins by making compounding enhancements in your funnel so an instance of this may be when you can for instance obtain a 20% lower in CPM so there’s other ways to do that one can be to you recognize have interaction with everybody within the feedback reply to all feedback in your advert that may naturally provide you with a free distribution multiplier by Fb and so you will get you will get a lower in CPM proper so you will get a 20% lower on CPM let’s simply say hypothetically after which you possibly can enhance your CTR 20% by for example you recognize testing higher scroll Stoppers proper testing creatives that basically stand out extra and then you definately one way or the other get a rise in CTR after which you may also enhance your conversion charges like 20% enhance in your conversion fee simply by you recognize enhancing your web site enhancing your design making little tweaks and then you definately additionally enhance your common order worth by you recognize testing new upsells you recognize testing bundles buy-one-get-one affords issues like that enhance your common order worth so for example that you would be able to make these 20 these 4 completely different 20% enhancements to your funnel it does not add as much as simply 80% general enchancment it’s going to add as much as 116 p.c enchancment and you come back on adspend which is completely loopy and so in different phrases you possibly can greater than double your return on adspend so for example you will have a 2x return on adspend your return on adspend may go to 4.3 – so greater than double your return on adspend by simply making for various 20% enhancements in your funnel so that is what you’ll want to do when you’re breaking even you’ll want to begin taking every every enchancment one step at a time so concentrate on how one can decrease your CPM do every little thing you possibly can to decrease your CPM as soon as you have acquired your CPM as little as attainable concentrate on growing your CT or CTR your click-through fee as soon as you have acquired that up concentrate on growing your conversion fee as soon as you have acquired that up specializing in growing your common order worth all these little tweaks will compound and there is extra tweaks that you would be able to make these are just a few apparent ones however that is actually what compounding enhancements is all about and this may actually take you retailer from being unprofitable to extraordinarily worthwhile alright everybody in order that was my tackle one you must cease a failing retailer I hope it was helpful sadly this is not actually a simple query to reply there is not any straight reply on precisely when you must cease a failing retailer actually comes all the way down to choice making and to how a lot you are prepared to check however I nonetheless hope that this video was helpful and if it was please ensure that to go away a like and subscribe I actually recognize it and it helps out the channel and likewise if you have not but ensure that to affix the econ mastermind group on Fb it is a mastermind group for this channel we’re up nearly at 20,000 members now extraordinarily energetic helpful neighborhood to be part of and very last thing if you have not checked it out but my case research course dropped a few week in the past and I have not actually talked about it a lot on this channel but so if you have not checked that out ensure that to examine that out I reveal my most profitable one product retailer so far and I present you precisely how I did it I take you behind the scenes I present you the way I began the advert scaled them actually ran the operations something that you’d need to learn about operating a profitable one product retailer so if you have not checked that out ensure that to examine that out hyperlinks gonna be within the description and on that observe I actually recognize you guys watching this video and I will see you subsequent time

Livestream Q&A (eCom Blueprint Pre-Originate)

all right so we should be live awesome a lot to see a lot of people shown up already it’s gonna be awesome so basically what I’m doing here is I’m just gonna be answering questions for thirty to thirty minutes to like an hour maybe and then you know depending on how things go so glad to see the big turnout already already 300 people watching live is dropshipping a job life honestly at like kind of you have to work a lot it’s not like passive income that’s for sure how many stores do you have so right now I’m running three stores but to be honest with you guys I mainly focus on one at a time so I’ve got three stores that are active in getting sales but I’m putting all my energy into one at a time are you first getting social proof on an ad before you optimized for purchase yeah so I’ll start off all my ads with p PE so I’ll run PP first and then I’ll usually build a look-alike audience from the PP Eve’s so like 95% video viewers or something like that and then switch to purchase conversions and I will leave the PPE running because if you have a lot of engagement on your ad Facebook likes that and you can get lower CPMs best one product store theme I would I would probably say debut theme I go if they view theme for almost all my stores so like a lot of people think the view theme looks like spammy just because it’s the default theme but the truth is that like gif shot if I made it the default theme it’s because they optimize it for conversions right they know it’s super optimized and so shop on the debut theme is extremely optimized you sneak to customize it a bit you know you can change the typography or add custom images things like things like that do you do personal coaching I don’t unfortunately sorry you guys how many creatives do you test I’ll usually test at least three creatives when I’m testing a new product and then over the course of like one store I’ll have tested dozens you know like 20-plus creatives at least how would you go about selling a $79 product um that’s you know that’s a little bit more expensive so it might be difficult to just get get people to buy it just off cold traffic off you know an impulse buys so you might need to are you getting anything to go heavy on the retargeting so how maybe you have like a video and then you know just explaining what your product does getting awareness about your product then heavily retarget those video viewers and then funnel them down to maybe the product page and you can do pre cell engagement pages as well I can work well you just need to do a lot more retargeting with higher ticket products I would say how many stores have you had in total so far I think five or something like that all right let me just try to catch some questions there’s a lot of questions here what’s your experience with view content and AD to cut conversions in my experience you get lower quality traffic I think that’s what my me that’s how Facebook works it it really categorizes its traffic based on the actions that they’re likely to take so if you optimize for view content you’re getting the lower quality traffic then if you optimize for purchase and that’s also why if you optimize for view content you know you’re gonna get clicks and traffic way cheaper but it’s not gonna convert and if you optimize for purchases you’re gonna get it’s gonna be expensive but that’s because it’s the traffic that actually purchases so will you continue to add content to your course yes definitely so as soon as I started getting some feedback some initial feedback about the course I’m gonna add some content and it is a case study based course so I mean I’m mainly going to focus on that in content relevant to that case that he’s so if there’s you know if there’s stuff that you guys think I miss I’ve I left out or that I should have went more in-depth on that I’m gonna record some content and add it to the course yeah for sure can you talk about manual bidding yeah sure so manual bidding I would say that it’s useful if you want to scale really aggressively so a lot of people want to just look at miracle at manual bidding as a miracle solution when their ads aren’t doing well and that’s definitely not what manual bidding should before so it’s more like when you have something that’s doing really well then you want to scale aggressively so you can duplicate to a like a much higher budget like $1,000 a day or something and then use manual bidding to make sure that facebook doesn’t blow through all your budget in like a stupid way because when you get to when you have a really large budget Facebook is gonna have to bid a lot more aggressively to spend it all and so it might bid like crazy amounts sometimes which will just get you terrible results so putting that big chap is gonna help i’m sword that out thoughts on targeting Instagram stories with picture ads I mean it depends on the type of product like there’s a lot of products that just wouldn’t work well for that but Instagram stories are definitely underrated as a placement whatup Gabriel do you cover Instagram influencer in the course yeah I do cover that a bit I I show you some examples that I did with this store from the case study so yeah I do cover that there’s a whole module long and actually so um can we use what you teach in your course for a narrow down in each store yeah for sure like I’m gonna say that again when I say one product store a lot of people think that I mean like just one product and a lot of the time when I say one product store there’s gonna be a few other products like don’t the store from the case study there’s a few other products on the store but I just focus on one product but I mean you can definitely use it within each store as well yeah isn’t it better to use clickfunnels for one product stores um yeah a lot of people think so you can get good conversion rates if you build like a very optimized funnel I think I have no problem using Shopify I like building kind of a brand around it and I think that funnels are kind of they kind of look spammy in a way like they convert really well but they’re they’re kind of I don’t know I prefer building a proper store and making it look like your real brand like my biggest inspiration for my stores is definitely hi smell they have an amazing setup with like one product brand type of thing and that’s what I try to try to replicate do you use 3x CPP manual bidding yeah so that’s usually well I’ll start out I’ll start out two to three times the cost per purchase and then on there you want to bring it down so you want to bring down the man you want to bring down the big chap as much as you can without without like hurting the delivery of the like the ad spend so basically like if you lower the big chap too much it’s going to stop spending so you want to lower it gradually as much as you can without it you know altering how much you’re spending you don’t want it to slow down you’re spending too much but you want to bring down the big cap with how much money did you start I started with like less than five hundred dollars actually back in 2017 with my first brand Beauty charcoal I talked about this in one of my videos yeah like I started off with Instagram influencer promotions and that’s why I recommend them for starting out because you can start out with like really little budget and I mean I kind of want to say I got lucky because my first product was the charcoal teeth-whitening I tested that when people like didn’t really know about it and so I mean I was able to spend like $50 on some promos and get like a thousand two thousand three thousand dollars back sometimes and so cash flow wasn’t a problem at the start and then with that first success I was able to finance my others doors mm-hmm how many hours of content is in the course so right now there’s a little over five hours I think and a lot of people might think that’s a little short compared to other courses which is fair but the reason why it’s a little bit shorter is that everything is case study based and so you know I don’t go super in-depth in the theory because I already do that on my channel so I just show you real examples I teach everything by showing real examples and that’s a lot faster than explaining all the theory and so it’s a little shorter but it’s very value packed Google Ads in the course so I don’t have this I don’t have a specific module for it because in the case study I didn’t use Google Ads that much there is one video on Google ads because I did use Google Ads a little bit and I show you how I was able to get like six or seven times return on adspend on like 11k spent on Google ads so I was able to spend 11 K and make back like 70 K or something and I show you that in the course what’s the price of the course so the price is going to be 297 and that’s the regular price but if you join the waitlist and the waitlist link is going to be in the description if you join the waitlist I’m gonna give you $100 discount for the first 24 hours and that’s the lowest you’ll ever see the course I’m not like that’s the lowest price you’ll ever see it out for sure are you starting to are you starting a course because you don’t make enough in your stores now that’s a fair question but no that’s not why I’m starting a course because first of all I want to show you guys I want to show you guys this case study I’m proud of it and I think it’ll be really helpful but if I just post like if I post the if I reveal a store publicly like it ruins my retargeting audiences and everyone copies it like that’s what I did with Beauty charcoal I revealed Beauty charcoal and I couldn’t retarget on Facebook anymore after that because I would just retarget you guys who check out the website so yes that’s that’s the first reason the second reason is that obviously there’s a lot of demand for courses a lot of people want so like it’s like I can help people and there’s a lot of demand I can make a lot of money with it so I’m an entrepreneur author so I’m gonna take advantage of the demand and release really something but it’s not because I don’t make enough money with dropshipping it’s just taking advantage of an opportunity what countries do you target marketing I target Apache countries usually but usually it’ll just be like the the main four countries the US Canada UK and Australia those the majority of the sales would come from that but I took it a packet for starting out um how do you remain so driven and focused consistency would be my biggest tip like don’t try to make it all happen in like a week you know don’t get don’t get too excited about you know making things happen super quick like I’m gonna become a millionaire next month or something like that just focus on doing you know the thing that you need to be doing right now consistently every day and you get to you know you kill it you accomplish big things by just staying consistent I was affiliate marketing for you it’s it’s tough it’s tough there’s not that many good offers like affiliate marketing like the way that I do it now is a lot easier like when you have a personal brand and you you have a skill that you people want to learn from you you can promote a lot of things like for example I can promote Shopify partners and that’s pretty good affiliate revenue I also promote econ part a little bit so you can make that’sthat’s revenue from affiliate marketing but um yeah it’s not the easiest business I can say that you plan on doing Shopify a long-term 100 percent that’s like my long-term vision is starting it’s not just Shopify dropshipping it’s starting like a real proper ecommerce brand like I I definitely I’m definitely an e-commerce for long term dropshipping is kind of like a stepping stone and then I want to build a proper brand and I’m already working on that but I really want to take things to the next level and then eventually sell that brand for you know a nice lump sum lump sum sorry how do you handle charging taxes this depends on where you’re from for me I have to charge taxes to Canadians so that’s that’s what I do do you recommend starting a phone cases store no not particularly that’s definitely not something I would do I always recommend problem-solving products I mean I guess technically a phone case solves a problem but that’s not really what I mean ya know I wouldn’t do phone cases talk about private label sure so I mean private label great you know I mean it’s great it’s a I think it’s one of the the best things you can do right now to differentiate yourself there’s a lot of competition right now in dropshipping and so I mean what you can do with private labels you can take a product that’s already like super saturated and you can just probably label it and then that people will think that it’s a different product right so like it’s one great way to differentiate yourself and it’s really not that hard I made a video like my last video is about private labeling and I show you how you can private label without having like a third party fulfillment center just using a drop shipping agent it’s not that hard and it’ll definitely help you differentiate yourself what talk about the apps you use I use quite a few I don’t really want to talk about that will this stay as a video yeah I’m gonna post post it as a video probably do you spend any of your money or do you reinvest everything so I I don’t spend a lot of my money I’m not like a guy I’m not all about showing off or anything like that like I said I’m only in it for the long term so I just save up a lot I leave most of the money that I make in my business because if you take the money out from business to your personal side that’s when you you start paying a lot of taxes so I mean I leave all the business in my corporation have a Canadian corporation and I’m just trying to long-term I want to grow that I want to grow my business with investments and things like that so I mean now I’m not all about spending talk about the legal side of dropshipping the legal side of dropshipping well I mean that really depends on where you’re from so how did you manage econ and engineering at McMaster right now four-inch so that’s a good question it’s tough man like it’s really tough to be honest I really didn’t have any free time back when I was still in school yes I would just like I would go I probably I didn’t go to class much to be honest I worked more on the business than I did on class and then I would when an exam came up for class I would just like focus on like grinding everything out in two days and then passing that exam and then back to e comm and yeah I mean it’s to tell you a little story about that actually when I when I was in school I had pretty good results with econ so I was able to get to like you know six figures a month eventually in net sales I mean in gross sales then a net profit about 20% of that and so everything was going well but as soon as I decided to drop out and I decided to focus like 100% on econ that’s when I started you know my results started exploding I started getting a lot better results by just focusing a hundred percent on econ so I’m not saying drop out but I am saying that if you commit a hundred percent to something you’re gonna get a lot better results and if it’s kind of like a plan B you know what do you think of EU vs. USA I think that you can make a lot of money if you target that’s a good strategy that not a lot of people talked about is creating stores for individual countries so maybe creating a store for example like for France only or for Denmark only for Norway only countries that have like a high GDP per capita and that have a relatively large population you can build a store in their language and then target only them and you’ll get crazy conversion rates you can get conversion rates above like 10% and those like if you target a country that has a high GDP per capita you can charge a lot more like you can for the like versus what you would charge for a product in the u.s. you can like double that and so you’ll have a lot better margins and good conversion rates and there’s less competition so it’s a win-win are you in Montreal I’m in Toronto right now No so not in Montreal but I’ve been in money I was born in Montreal actually and I like Montreal a lot of my family lives there um do you have a mentor before you got started doing all this someone who helped you get to this level I have like a lot of mentors if you consider like like YouTube and blogs and stuff like I got started just by reading a lot of blogs I tell that story a lot but I didn’t take any course or anything like that I just read a ton of blogs and I mean the best mentor is honestly learning from your competition to like a lot of the time you think there’s there’s no better way to learn than just reverse engineering what you know find finding a successful example of what you’re trying to do and then reverse engineering it and then replicating it with your own with your own business that’s what I pretty much did so learn from learn from analyzing what other people are doing that’s what I would say but I like now I have a lot of you know I have a large network now just thanks to this personal branding stuff and so I mean I do get a lot of advice from a lot of friends and mentors alike so what bank do you use in Canada to you to do wire transfers I use RBC and I have a u.s. I have a u.s. dollar bank account so I don’t have to to convert to Canadian dollars all the time LLC in Ontario so I I don’t have another I’ll see how the corporation it’s the equivalent in Canada so that’s that’s all mine my business is set up what blogs do you read this really depends on what you want to learn there’s a lot of different blogs for like a lot of specific topics right so it depends what you’re trying to learn like on YouTube you have like these guys like me who are kind of you know they have a wide a wide set of skills and they’re good at overall how to you know we know how to build ecommerce businesses but if you want to learn something very specific like if you want to learn Facebook advertising truthfully the best place probably isn’t for me it’s from Facebook Ads experts there’s some crazy experts um Alex vetted off is amazing completely underrated to like the guys generated like a hundred million or something in sales on Facebook and his videos get like 100 views or something there’s also depeche depression and Dahlia amazing about Facebook Ads marketer so that’s that’s what I would recommend it really depends what you want to learn on like just use Google that’s Google is a tool that a lot of people undervalue they don’t take advantage of it should I use PayPal without having a company um that’s a tough one I don’t really know I mean I’ve only used PayPal with a company like a business PayPal account was beauty charcoal your first Shopify store it was my first drop shipping store I wasn’t my first Shopify store because it was on WooCommerce but yeah my first Shopify my first drop shipping store yeah how do you target a general product for adults over 30 years old I mean you could just target adults over 30 years old right that’s one place you could start you could literally just target all you packet countries adults over 30 years old and then start breaking down start narrowing down base with like the breakdown tool and you can also just do it look like audiences mmm Alex who Alex feted off I don’t really know how to say it properly but you should be able to find it Alex F eto do FF um can you give your opinion on Amazon FBA I think Amazon FBA is an amazing business model especially if you do like private labeling but I think it’s extremely competitive like I think that the bite the barrier to entry is higher than like drop shipping and so you’re dealing with like high-caliber guys like people who have a lot of you have like established teams and yeah like it’s it’s it’s tough it’s tough that’s what I’ve heard at least so like if if you manage to get your product ranked for like a certain keyword and you’re like number one for a certain product um you’re gonna make a lot of money and it’s all autopilot you don’t have to do ads you don’t have to do anything but it’s extremely competitive people always gonna try to like outrank you and so that’s what that’s what usually happens and it’s it’s all about getting your it’s all about search engine optimization Amazon and so you have to constantly get reviews and stuff Gabriel how to reduce shipping times that’s a good question you can reduce shipping times by either setting up third-party fulfillment centers so like you could you could start shipping out of the US with like ship Bob that’s what I did for beauty charcoal and then the shipping times were like under a week and so that helps a lot for like customer attention and customer satisfaction in general another thing you can do is you can use in drop shipping agent out of China and they have different shipping methods than just a packet and so you can get something slightly faster so that’s what that’s what I typically do if I want to ship out of China Gabriel favorite books that’s a great question I actually really like books um favorite book I would say is the slight edge the slight edge it’s an amazing book it’s kind of like a self-help book but it’s about it’s really about consistency that’s what it comes down to and it tells it talks about how if you can if you can do consistent small consistent actions over and over again over time um you can get massive results and I tribute a lot of my my success to that book I mean yeah I just taught me a lot about consistency and a good examples with this YouTube channel right like I just said the goal to put in one video a week that’s all I did I didn’t run ads I just I said I’m gonna do one video a week without fail and that’s what I’ve been doing and you know the results clearly show off shipping times for EU countries is like two three weeks I’m targeting those countries I think targeting those countries isn’t an option you can get faster shipping times than that like if you use in a drop shipping agent you can use UN Express and like UN Express is pretty fast to Europe countries like it’s under two weeks so [Music] your ads sell 2,000 dollars in a day then 500 dollars in the next day for a week what would you do that’s a very specific question what I would do is I would go back to the drawing board figure out what went wrong so figure out if it’s the product or if it’s I need better ads or something because something obviously went wrong Facebook you know the the learning phase the way that learning phase works is that for the first few days when it starts gathering can conversion it starts testing a bunch of different things and it sees if the audience is reacting well if the audience actually converts and if it sees that the audience doesn’t convert then it’s gonna stop showing it and that’s often why some people see a lot of results in the first few days and then it completely drops off you speak French yes French is my first language but now I speak I speak English all the time now so I speak like I speak French better now I mean English now I speak English better now I would say what was the name of the shipping method it’s called un Express do you like Sam ovens yeah I like Sam Levin’s um I actually like I get targeted by his ads all the time and like I actually enjoy watching them so that’s how you know he’s doing a good job like he’s a really really smart guy there’s a lot to learn from that guy he’s really high level though like if you want to like Sam Levin’s is all about like becoming like a multi multi-millionaire and like like it’s it’s if you really want to take things to the next level it’s not everyone not everyone has that kind of ambition nor should they so um any courses on Facebook Ads you recommend I haven’t taken that many courses so I can’t really recommend anything how many time are you dedicating to scaling in your course I would say maybe like above above an hour now we’re in and a half maybe Gabriel any product you would recommend to brand um that’s a tough one man I don’t I don’t I don’t know right now on top of my head um how long do products usually last before they die out um usually six months to two like a year but like honestly the goal is to to have them not die out and that’s what I’m working on you know that’s what you should be working on like if you’re doing pure dropshipping they’re gonna die out but if you can actually like private-label then start actually getting custom products like that’s the next step after private labeling private labels like step one and then step two is actually like getting something something custom about your product like changing something like the formula or the design or you know making it more unique actually having a unique value proposition and then you can build a real long term brand like that’s what all the very successful one product brands do you like high smile for example they started out with like a standard teeth whitening kit from Alibaba but now they’ve refined the ingredients you know they’ve got like organic ingredients you know a unique proprietary formula and everything so it allows them to really solidified miles into really solidify their their you know their uniqueness and its allows them to stand out and so that’s what I would do thoughts on are you sure soon I love our man he’s he’s a great friend of mine and um like super honest transparent guy so how’s beauty charcoal doing right now not so hard I haven’t been focusing on it at all it’s getting like 200 300 bucks today in sales just from all the past work that I’ve done and I’ve got like ambassadors talking about it so it’s not that bad but definitely not crazy results I haven’t been focusing on I haven’t like done ads for it in months customer service can you give us some advice yeah best advice would be don’t cheap out on your VA s you know get good VA s don’t hire like anyone for like three dollars an hour or something like that because you get what you pay for and yeah that’s that’s that’s the best advice and you have structured properly I use end s to properly structure it and in the case study in the course that I’m launching tomorrow I show you exactly how I do that I give you copy and paste templates and I show you exactly how I set it up for my own stores so yeah what are you working on now I’m working on the new private label brand it’s doing quite well actually and right now I’ve scaled it down a bit it’s a feeling like 3k right now because Chinese New Year I prepared some stock ahead of time but the method that I use which is UHN Express the shipping method UNIX press it’s it’s closed until like the the 10th or something and so I’m just scaling down until it comes back up price for the course so the course is going to be 297 regular pricing but if you if you join the waitlist it’s gonna be the link in description if you join the weightless you’re gonna get $100 discount for the first 24 hours and that’s gonna be exclusive to only the waitlist and then after that it’s gonna be 297 and I’m probably gonna increase the price over time because as I get feedback from the initial course members I’m gonna add content and so the course is going to be better and there’s also going to be a lot of members and I don’t want too many members in the course so that you know the methods don’t get oversaturated or whatever so the price will be increasing over time so make sure to join the waitlist we’ll headphones work again not my type of product I recommend problem-solving products headphones don’t really solve a problem so apart from yourself would you recommend to watch on YouTube for advanced Facebook ads I named a few I named Alex feted off that’s a good example I’m for advanced Facebook yards that’s it’s a tough question for advanced Facebook Ads you do kind of need to buy a course I feel like um depeche mandala a check out check that guy out he’s amazing and he released like a really interesting Facebook Ads case study for free a few weeks back and so that’s extremely valuable should I hold off on job shipping until after Chinese New Year yeah that’d be a good idea but don’t just like oh completely just get ready so there’s a lot of stuff that you can do to get ready you can um you know you can start making new ads you can find products to test you can build your store you can optimize your store you can prepare the interest that you’re gonna test the number one thing I would tell you to focus on is just start testing like start treating a bunch of different ads and you can even test them PPE right now because realistically you’re not going to get them sales of PPE so do you think picture ads still work yeah picture ads always worked and they never didn’t work it’s just for dropshipping everyone recommends video ads including myself because a lot of the drop shipping products need to be explained right you need to explain what like the benefits of the product or if it’s the problem-solving products you need to explain what the problem is and then offer the solution and so video ads work best for that but if your product is like straightforward doesn’t need to be explained like a t-shirt or something like you really don’t need video ads and so in that case picture ads work great and especially like a lifestyle content you know like lifestyle photos with like a model wearing your shirt or something like that and yeah you want to test different things with image ads to like the contrast in the image that’s something that I’ve read a lot about if you like high contrast images tend to work a lot better for like click-through rate and stuff like that so that’s something you can test do you explain manual bidding in my course yeah I go over it a little bit it’s not like the main point of focus my course like I like if for the people who are just tuning in now and who don’t know about the course yet it’s not a typical a-to-z course it’s a case study so I show you exactly how I started a store in July 2018 and scaled it to a million dollars in sales so I reveal the store and I take you in to everything that I did to accomplish that and so I break down the whole process of you know how I pick the product how I made the store remember how I started the ads how I made the odds how I scaled them how I ran the customer service and the fulfillment and I show you everything with real examples so it’s not just like lectures me talking about how things work I actually show you examples and so yeah I do touch a little bit on manual bidding but it’s mostly just me showing you like how I use manual bidding for that store where can I find the course so the course isn’t launched yet it’s launching tomorrow at 4 p.m. Eastern and so if you want to get $100 discount when it does launch tomorrow make sure to join the waitlist it’s the link in the description would you do a live workshop Toronto maybe yeah maybe that’s something I would do in the future that’d be cool to meet some of you guys and yeah that’s something I haven’t really thought about that yet I’ve been super busy but that’s something that I would be open to doing in the future yeah there’s a lot of demand for it um these questions are going so fast it’s hard to like even see best approach for ads when starting so this depends on your budget in my opinion this really depends on your budget so best approach in my opinion what I usually do when I start a new product is I’ll run to keep you to get social proof and data and then I’ll start building look-alikes based off that and then get more data with those look-alikes and then get you know build more look-alikes that’s usually why do I skill really with look-alike audiences I think it’s the best way with Facebook Ads and if you’re doing if you have a lower budget Instagram influencers and then I talked about that in the course how you can do that because I did it with that store and so I show you exactly how I did it with that store does your course cover how to build a social media for a brand not in depth I show you how I set up the social media pages for that store and like what I consider the minimum that you should be doing to set up your pages right before you run promotion so I do do that but I don’t like go in depth about long term social media page building though that’s not a focus of the course can i rewatch the course after it’s done yeah it’s not like a live thing it’s it’s a membership website like it’s it’s or it’s in modules and there’s videos and you can log on anytime and watch it anytime you want how do you manage refunds or damaged products so I use a drop shipping agent and if there’s damage products I can pass that on to him and so I’ll get a refund from him and then I’ll refund the customers so that’s how I handle it I’ll usually offer to resend it first rate I prefer resending it then refunding so I’ll be like hey we’re really sorry about that and sometimes I’ll offer like a 50% off refund I’ll say hey well refund you 50% off and will resend you a free product or something like that and then I get a refund from my agent since he sent the damaged product same thing with like tracking tracking numbers that don’t work you can get refunds um how do you manage cash flows yeah that’s a good question so how I manage cash flows basically I’ll use a credit card to pay for my ads so then I can get like credit credit card rewards and then I’ll have the US dollar account and a Canadian dollar account since I’m in Canada and then I’ll have everything come out to to my US dollar account so all the Shopify payments all the PayPal I withdraw that to my US dollar account because I don’t want to get currency exchange rate currency exchange fees because they don’t tell you that but the banks and Shopify like they won’t give you the real exchange rate they take about like 2.7 percent something like that 3% off the exchange rate and so you end up losing a lot of money so I connect it directly to my US dollar bank account to withdraw money and then with that money I pay my suppliers so I wire transfer money from the US dollar bank account to my supplier to pay for the fulfillment and I’ll use that account to pay to pay off my credit card as well so cash flow is not that complicated how much is your course I’ve already answered that but it’s 297 and it’s gonna be there’s gonna be a hundred dollar discount for 24 hours tomorrow when it launches if you’re on the waitlist mmm all right let’s see can I use only PayPal as a payment method and use your strategy that’s a tough question I mean I know like I VCU he’s another dropshipping youtuber he he said that he like did his is like first store with just PayPal and he was able to have good success so I guess you can but I mean I would definitely recommend having PayPal I mean I would definitely recommend having a payment a credit card processor as well Gabriel best piece of advice you’ve ever received that’s a good question probably to just be consistent and be good at what you do and people start noticing you know I really when I was starting out with his personal brand I really did not expect to get the kind of results like the kind of growth that I saw in the channel by the way we hit 60 K cells today which is amazing and I’m really grateful for that and thank you all for supporting me really appreciate that but yeah that was the best piece of advice like I was starting my personal brand someone told me like man just just be consistent and be good what you and people will start noticing and it’s it’s really true people did start noticing and that’s that you know that was a really good advice for me so that that’s probably the best piece of advice I’ve ever received I would say can you make 100k a month with a high quality general store yeah I mean without a doubt there’s a bunch of people who are doing it it’s not the strategy that I recommend but general stores still work it’s just in my opinion it’s harder how much money from YouTube quite a bit I mean on the ad revenue it’s actually pretty good the ad revenue for dropshipping is like really high because we have like there’s a bunch of people selling courses on my videos now and so they’re willing to pay a lot for the ads and so yeah I mean I think it’s like 200-300 dollars a day just from YouTube ads hey Gabriel how do you find private dropshipping agents you can search on up work up works good for that you can store it by the amount they earned and then contact them you can also search in Facebook groups or you can just DM me and I’ll alone I’ll let you know the one that I use if you have enough orders you know like I to be honest I’ve been getting so many of those dm’s and I haven’t been replying in a while because there’s just too many I’ll try to catch up on that but also I show you exactly how I do it with the drop shipping agent I show you that in the course and I give you the link right away in the course like the contact the agent and I show you exactly how to set that up so that’s another reason why you might be interested in the course did you get a mentor no I didn’t say mentors are essentials are essential that might be true for a lot of people um you know nothing against mentors I think they’re great but personally I and my best mentor was just you know learning from analyzing the competition Gabriel can you tell the price of the econ blueprint yeah so it’s 297 but it’s gonna be $100 off tomorrow if you’re on the waitlist so join the waitlist link is in description is there any habits we should get used to yeah I mean there’s a bunch of there’s a bunch of habits habits are really powerful you know habits that you should get used to is optimizing your ads every day creating you audio test a new audiences every day maybe testing like creating new ads every week something like that those are some good drop shipping habits like communicating with your team maybe I mean it really depends on this situation you have a partner know everything I do like all my businesses are hundred percent owned by me I don’t have a partner I do you know when I out of my videos I say like we sometimes and people think that I have a partner that I have a partner like that it’s not 100 percent my stores everything’s a hundred percent my stores I just say we because you know I have like a team I have das who do a lot of the work and so it just comes out naturally I just say we did you start and then I’ll an LLC so I didn’t start an LLC but I started a corporation which is the same thing pretty much in Canada it’s the Canadian equivalent it’s like limited liability if anything if I get sued or something why are you sharing this info I’m sharing this info to to build this personal brand and to to bring together community of entrepreneurs and yeah I mean obviously in the end I’m gonna be able to monetize this like for example I’m launching my course tomorrow I’m gonna make make money with that so that’s another incentive but I mean I genuinely just like building a community having this you know having and also just for networking I mean it’s amazing the amount of people I’ve met the past few months thanks to the YouTube channel has been unreal so and I mean there’s enough there’s enough like products that get unsold online to go around right like I I don’t think sharing this information is gonna affect me in any way whatsoever Gabriel do does making blogs work if you’re talking about like doing like SEO for e-commerce it works but you need to have like a very narrow niche so like I mean it’s definitely not something that you’re gonna see fast results with like a long term consistency can work like for example a good example is this there’s a it’s called I think it’s magnet with a Z so magnets with a Z dot DK or something like that you can search that on Google maybe it’s maybe that’s not exactly what it is but basically it’s like a magnet store in Denmark and so all they do is they sell like all these different magnets in Denmark and they they rank they rank their website with like blog articles about magnets and so on they doing they’re doing six figures with just SEO there’s no add cost and it’s just like people searching about magnets online in Denmark and then so that’s like a good example but if you’re doing like a really broad product SEO is really competitive and blogs won’t won’t get you ranked is your course for beginners nope definitely not it’s not for beginners I don’t cover a lot of the basics so I mean you should at least watch my free I have like a playlist on my channel it’s called free course playlist and I have you know like 10 videos or something in there and you should at least watch those videos and understand them if you don’t understand something Google it like a lot of people don’t realize you can just google things just google it you’ll find the answers really quickly and then once you understand at least that free course pose then maybe like I think that’s the point at which it’s you’re you’re I’m qualified to join the course beginners to get the course because there’s you know I don’t come I don’t cover a lot of the complete beginner stuff do you go over email marketing in the course yeah I go over it really quickly not in depth I just show you how I did it for for the store that did a million dollars in sales a cave what’s your IQ I don’t know I haven’t gone that like officially tested so Dave how many hours a week do you work on your three stores not not that much to be honest I’ve been I’ve been working on the course lately and on the YouTube videos quite a lot like an hour a day two hours a day what do you do for a business bank account in Canada you need to have a business as simple as that and then you can just open your business bank account if you you know you can also be a sole proprietor then you can just open another personal account because sole proprietorship is the same thing as basically being an individual and so you can just create a separate bank account but like a personal bank account and then use that as your business account game do you believe in product saturation um I mean I believe in it like it’s not like a fake magical thing product saturation like yeah product do get saturated in the sense that a lot of people are selling them but I don’t believe in the fact that product saturation is like a deal breaker that you can’t sell any saturated product as you’ll see if you joined the case study the product that I was selling is considered very saturated but it’s all about you know building building like something around that you know focusing on and doing better than the people who are already selling it like if you got if there’s a product that’s super saturated you’ve got like dozens of general stores selling it you know and they’re focusing on that product but they’re a general store right and they’re also testing like ten other products but you just create a store around that one product you focus 100% around it and you know you create a bunch of different ads for just that product you focus on a price on that product you’re gonna be you know you should definitely beat those other guys who are just focusing like a tenth of their energy on that product right if you focus 100% of that energy so it’s really about doing better than the existing competition and when you have a product that’s saturated what it means is that people are buying it there’s a lot of demand for it so that’s how you got to see it you guys see it as demand and then figure out what can I do to do better than the existing competitors did you think about selling beauty charcoal yeah I did I mean that would have been a really good move I should have done it while I was still killing it that would be a bit harder but the reason I didn’t do it was cuz my counting was all the mess I didn’t have an accountant yet and so um you know I didn’t have all the numbers like properly some organized to show to potential buyers but I could have made a lot selling beauty charcoal so any recommendation for a Canadian fulfillment center um no sorry I haven’t used any Canadian fulfillment center the only fulfillment center I’ve used is bub I have 10 KS if I follow your example will it work for me I mean I can’t guarantee that I don’t work for you right like it’s there’s there’s no way I can guarantee that but 10k is definitely enough to start I mean that’s that’s more than enough to really focus in on the product and test all the different angles and all the different audiences taxes so taxes taxes is I don’t know if you’re talking about sales tax sales tax really depends for where you’re based in my case I only charge taxes to Canadians if you’re talking about like income tax the key to income tax is really just not withdrawing to the personal side so you wanna have like an L else like you don’t have a business and then keep all your money in the business and like live off as little as possible so that’s why I don’t spend a lot of money right like you don’t you guys don’t see me flexing like supercars or anything like that because I keep all my money in the business and I don’t withdraw that much to personal um you register all brands under that same company yeah so I’ll have all my companies under under that same company then I’ll register trade names Gabriel as jewelry is smart Anish to selling um yeah if you’re good at it it’s not the type of niche that I sell in as most of you know I sell I focus on problem-solving products so I mean jewelry jewelry is a good niche but it’s all about like having nice jewelry at that point you can do print-on-demand jewelry that’s a good one that’s a good way to differentiate yourself I guess or I mean yeah jewelry is good especially like around Valentine’s Day a lot of people do like Instagram influencers with like Valentine’s Day jewelry that works really well um you have some advice on how to keep going and not quit when losing money yeah I would my best advice would be stop like trying to test like a ton of different things at once like focus on a proven method something that you know is working and then really go on all in on that but don’t be stupid about the way you spend your money like don’t jump on every product you test that’s like a big thing for me too that a lot of people don’t understand is how I test like so few products and how I’ve had such a good success rate testing products the truth is I’ve gone that success rate testing products by being very selective about what I test and so I don’t test a lot of products like most people test they multiple products a week I test like one product every like two three months and so that’s what I would say I would say the very selective about what you test what you choose to go into and how you spend your money and then to learn as much as you can never stop learning like set a goal to like read like one blog post or like watch one video or something every day or something just so you keep learning do you make yourself the video ads for your products yeah I’ll make them with an emote oh do you invest in real estate so I haven’t invested in real estate yet but that’s something I definitely want to get into long-term like that’s I’ve been learning a lot about it recently I want to get into like rental properties and so that’s something that I’m probably gonna do soon as soon as I free up some time but definitely like real estates awesome you might see some videos on my channel I mean I wonder if some people would be interested in that I’ve been thinking as I start you know as I keep bubbling up I guess as I start you know moving onto bigger businesses like you know as I start doing more legit branded e-commerce and I start investing in real estate and I’m also interested in stock trading I do a lot of trading in my free time and so I you know I was wondering if you guys would ever be interested in some content like that on my channel who has good blogs to read there’s a ton man you just got a search on Google I mentioned a few earlier Alex fed it off depeche min Dalia hi Gabe did you have a problem did you have a problem with PayPal when you scaled no I’ve never had problems with PayPal I mean they’ve they’ve asked for documents before they’ve asked to see like my business registration they’ve asked to see on some tracking numbers and yeah but they’ve never held money or anything like that and as soon as I showed them the the you know the the info that they asked for they just they they let me go fine glad to see that some people seem interested in the in the stocks in the real estate that’s awesome Gabriel would you recommend selling watches for the year absolutely not definitely not that’s like that’s all mostly probably the number one way I see people failing with dropshipping is they’ll just start like a watch a watch store so yeah I wouldn’t recommend it Gabriel is there a best time of day to post ads if you’re talking about Facebook ads you want to you want to publish them you want them to start at the the midnight time for your on account and if you’re talking about Instagram influence your ads in my experience it’s like 2 p.m. 3 p.m. Eastern if I know nothing about drop shipping can I learn and profit from your course um not like you can you can if specially if you’re a smart dude like if you’re smart and you can learn fast by you know analyzing analyzing the the case study that I’m gonna be showing you if you can learn by analyzing what worked for me like essentially I’m not gonna be showing a lot of the stuff like setting up your your store like step by step that you know setting up like your shipping zones things like that so if that’s what you’re looking for that that’s not we’re gonna get with the course but I mean you will see a concrete example of you know step by step what you need to do each step of the way so you know it could be a good add-on to your journey right like if you’re if you’re learning from from like for YouTube content and stuff but you just want to see each step of the way what I did then that would be that would be good what do you think about testimonial videos as advertisements that can work great especially for retargeting like not not for cold traffic but for retargeting testimonials are great um Gabriel how many stores you own right now I’ve answered that I’ve got three running right now but I only focus on one at a time so you consider drop shipping to be your one thing that’s a good question then I wouldn’t say so I would say ecommerce I think is ecommerce is what I’ve decided is my one thing and so I really want to go all out in e-commerce and that’s why you don’t see me posting that many videos like on my channel like I tried to I tried to be consistent with one a week but I don’t want to post like every day because like if I post every day I don’t have time to focus on e-commerce and I’m gonna get behind right and if you won’t if you guys want to get like the latest info all the time like I can’t post all the time I need to spend the majority of my time working on e-commerce and then share my experiences with you guys and so that’s what I’ve been trying to do and so I’ve been spending a lot of time on the course these past this past few weeks but I’m really excited to just go back you know start going all-in ecommerce again because yeah I would say e-commerce is my one thing so I talked to an accountant before incorporating that’s a good idea if you’re not sure what corporation you should get yeah but I mean if you already doing big numbers like I didn’t incorporate until I was starting to make like like 10 10k a month net profit something like that because yeah at that point you can really save a lot on taxes Gabriel he played video games I used to I played a lot of video games back in the day I played like a lot of I played a lot of League of Legends like I played minecraft things like that but nowadays now I had like a little phase not too long ago I was playing fortnight with lot of my friends from from University and stuff like that but not anymore like it’s just such a waste of time so um have you ever scaled with Shopify payments yeah I mean Shopify payments is the main thing that I use and you know the same thing as PayPal they ask for information you know they asked for for documents for tracking numbers but once you provide everything they’re there ok a lot of people say you get like a 25% Reserve or something like that that that’s not what’s happening my experience at all I’ve never had any money held back by Shopify payments mmm MBTI type I’m and intp so yeah it kind of oscillates like sometimes I get entp sometimes I get INTP so I guess it switches if I’m like an introvert and extrovert do you read yeah I read I read quite a bit I try to read every day every morning I try to read 15 pages right now I’m reading this book called psycho cybernetics it’s like about self-image and stuff so it’s pretty interesting and I mentioned earlier my favorite book is this light edge just an amazing book dropshipping beginning to be saturated yeah I mean in the sense that there’s a lot of people doing it yeah it’s saturated in that sense but most people are doing the same thing so it’s kind of like there’s like this barrier to entry where like everyone’s there’s like this swarm of people doing the same thing and like not getting results and like that’s where like the majority of people are then the actual people who are making it work that part isn’t saturated because everyone like not that many people are making it work so I mean like yeah it’s saturated but if you get past like that initial hump like it’s it’s it’s all good you said that in order to scale you need 30 to 40 percent profit on low outspend what do you consider a low ad spend low ad spend is that’s a good question I guess I should have specified that probably like under like 500 500 a thousand a day um let’s see you’ve already been going for 52 minutes this is awesome really appreciate everyone tuning in guys like 1.3 1.3 k people watching lives pretty crazy pretty crazy I’m not used to doing live lives like this so really glad that everyone showed up [Music] Gabriel could we contact you personally if we buy your course so if you’d buy the course there’s gonna be a private group on Facebook with me and all the other course members and that’s gonna be the best place to reach me from now on like I’m still gonna try to engage in my free group once in a while but I’m just to be you know just to be fair to the people who paid for the course I’m gonna start engaging more in that group and so that’s gonna be the best place to reach me and so you will be able to engage with me there now I’m not promising I’m gonna reply to every single question because I think you know there’s gonna be a lot of posts in that group but I will try my best to engage with it every day and also it’s gonna be a great separation like right now the free group I’m sure you know if you’re in the group it’s extremely active and we have like I think there’s like 18,000 members or something close to 20,000 and so the result is that a lot of the questions are just like repetitive and like beginner oriented and so this is going to be a good separation of the people who are like really serious about the business versus the people who are just kind of playing around and so the group should be a very good learning environment if an outset is not profitable all the sales are coming from 65-plus age which you duplicate the accident with 50 65 plus only it’s a good question um it depends men like if you’re if that ad set is like if all the sales came from sixty five-plus but like you didn’t get a lot of delivery to that like the thing if you’re targeting something like sixty five-plus is that you’re gonna get such a smaller audience and so that like the performance is gonna be totally different like totally different and so like you can narrow down to sixty five-plus if you want but you’re not gonna get the same results because that audience is gonna be a lot narrower so like that what when narrowing works really well as if you’re getting a lot of results for specific for specific like age range or country or whatever and it’s it’s profitable and that’s when you should focus in on that but if you’re getting like a few results and it’s extremely profitable that that’s not really statistically significant can I get the link in the chat let me just check the description man like how do I find a good accountant I mean you can like search locally I found mom I find mine I found mine on up work sorry and so um you just want to make sure that they’re like a certified professional accountant right and that really helps when they go to file your taxes like if you have a certified professional accountant a CPA on file when you do your taxes it like it’s but way less likely that you’re gonna get audited or something like that how old are you I’m 20 Gabriel what is the optimal price of a dropshipping product most of my winners have been in the 15 to the 35 dollar range I would say the optimal price is probably like 25 bucks honestly but if you for e-commerce like like that’s for like drop shipping products but for like e-commerce if you want to build like a legit ecommerce brand higher ticket products can work really well yeah like like $70 $80 100 plus the steps you shown your coursework in 2019 yeah I mean it’s it’s like a method that pretty much no one shows so like it definitely it’s it’s optimized for 2019 if anything like it’s it’s the opposite of what everyone’s doing so how many people there’s so many people stealing other people’s ads is there a way to protect the ad yeah the best way would be to to watermark it like not just a logo in the top right because if you do that people are just gonna overlay that with like tag someone’s who need this talk to someone who needs this or like they’re just gonna overlay their logo on top with like a solid square so best ways to have like an transparent like a not transparent but like 30% opacity watermark right in the center of the video and that way you know I’ll usually put the product the URL not even just the logo I’ll put the URL so that literally if they want to advertise and steal my ad then they’re gonna have to promote my website as like a side effect mm-hmm what are your long-term goals my long-term goals so number one is to build a very successful e-commerce business like that’s consistent you know year over year that consistently generates profits and like that I could get an exit on so that’s that’s definitely my number one goal and then a secondary goal is to just keep growing this personal brand keep growing the community around my channel and eventually diversify from just drop shipping on this channel right like drop shipping is awesome but I’m probably not going to be doing drop shipping my whole life and so I I really hope that I can find a way to keep this community alive without just making drop shipping content like I have been these past few months mm-hmm do you hear about a residency yeah I’ve heard about that that’s that’s a really smart way to save on taxes like a lot of people are doing that to be honest I haven’t really set up like a good system to up to minimize my taxes what I do is I just keep all all the money in my business and then I try to keep it in the business instead of withdrawing to personal side and paying a lot of taxes Hey just wondering what your day looks like now it’s it’s not that exciting to be honest what it looks like I’ll usually wake up and then first thing I’ll do is I’ll read I’ll read a bit then I’ll shower then I’ll I’ll go on that computer start working so like past few days I’ve been working on the course and then after that you know optimizing my ads things like that and then you know making videos I’ve been traveling a lot lately which is nice right now I’m in Toronto I’m in like an air B&B I’m thinking about moving soon like right now I still live in the town in London Ontario that’s where I went to school and I dropped out and like my lease is finally gonna be over in June in May yeah and May so then I’m looking for somewhere else to move I’m thinking Toronto and so I’m in an air B&B right now um you know I’m gonna once I launch the course I’m gonna have a bit more time and I’m gonna go look for apartments what do you study I I did study software engineering for two years but I dropped out so alright we’ve already been going for 58 minutes I’m gonna call it quits pretty soon I’m gonna answer a few more questions but thank you for everyone who came out I really appreciate it what’s a good cost per conversion on a $30 product I mean depends on your selling price I mean just figure out the breakeven rows anything anything below they figure out the break-even cost per purchase and then anything below that cost per purchase you’re good hmm aren’t you worried everyone who buys the course will copy your product yeah I mean that’s something I’ve just accepted like I’m focusing on a new brand so it doesn’t really I don’t really care like I’m like I said I like to focus on one on one store at a time right that’s how that’s how I get the best results and so I’m focusing on this new brand right now and so I mean yeah that the store that I revealed in the case study is 100% gonna get copied but it’s all good um you know hi Gabriel what’s your impression on very large retail stores for dropshipping I have a website with eight hundred plus products that’s like the opposite of what I recommend to be honest like if you’re doing that you have to keep in mind that you’re basically just competing with Amazon right like and it it’s just not really valuable like unless you have like a special like some value to offer rate like if it’s just a bunch of products like your you’re literally just competing with Amazon and so it’s gonna be tough man thanks for all the love in the chat and really appreciate that when should you switch to pursue it’s a purchase objective as soon as you’re trying to get purchases men like I a lot of people think I use PPE for like the testing phase and I used to PPE to get data and to you know to get video using to get social proof but as soon as I’m trying to get purchases you switch to purchase conversion right so I mean right away as soon as you want to get purchases switch to purchase conversions making videos and streaming takes a lot of time time you could use to create more 200k in five months dropship sites why the you oh sorry why why are you doing this doesn’t make you that much more um why am I doing this well first of all I want to build a community like I said so you know I’m it’s it’s going well so far I can meet a lot of great people I can monetize this too as well I mean I’m gonna launch the course tomorrow and that should do well and it’s it’s less to be honest with you guys it’s a lot less work than drop shipping in terms of the return on my time I’m probably going to get so that’s that too but it’s the main reason I’m doing this is because I’ve always wanted a personal brand I’ve always wanted a community that I can talk to you engage with and just for networking like I said networking has been amazing like I’ve met so many so many people just in like these these like three months since my channels blown up hey Gabriel can I drop cosmetic products from Aliexpress yeah you can do that you might have a few problems like if it’s a liquid product and you’re trying to get like fast shipping out of China that’s gonna be tough but yeah um [Music] will there be a record of this yeah I’m gonna post this on my channel for you guys well done so you go straight from PPE create ll look-alike audiences and then purchase conversions yep that’s what I do yeah and so if I test interest that’s gonna be with purchase conversions right away mm-hmm all right let’s see if I can I’m gonna answer like three more questions it’s already been an hour and there’s like so many questions and I can go on forever so I’m gonna answer three more questions and I’m gonna call it quits and yes let’s let’s pick three good questions hmm Gabriel did you use an upsell app for the name of for the store you’re revealing in the course what’s the name of it what Shopify theme do you use for your store so that’s a few questions then I use an upsell app yes the name of it you have to get the course to check – you’re gonna have to buy the course to figure that out and what Shopify theme do I use for my stores I use debut debut so that’s a pretty bad question let me see if I can find some better ones does it make if that doesn’t make a difference if you make an adjustment and launch new assets at midnight versus early in the morning not really man like you can do it in the morning that’s fine just not too late like if you do it when there’s only five hours left in the day then it’s gonna rush through that spend and you it’s not gonna get good results why are you undercutting yourself selling at 297 with a discount to 197 yeah I mean that’s a good point like I have to be honest with you guys like I talked to a lot of other guys who sell courses and a lot of them actually told me that I was like like you know making a really bad decision by selling at this cheap and they might be right but I wanted to make it accessible I mean like and another thing is it’s not that long so like it’s it’s extremely value packed don’t get me wrong but it’s not that long and so I just want to give you guys a fair price and make it accessible tonight to my subscribers I mean I could have definitely charged more and pretty much everyone told me I should charge a lot more so so that was another question is drop shipping in the Netherlands a good idea yeah it could be a great idea man like I was saying earlier for some of you that weren’t on the stream yet if you build a store it’s like specific for one country that has a high GDP per capita in a relatively large population and that has a language barrier so like the Netherlands or like on Denmark or Norway or France if you target if you make a store in that language and you focus only on that country you can get really really great results I mean I know some people who are doing insane numbers with that strategy um all right so this is gonna be the last question I answer guys so how do you solve this issue I’ve been giving micro influencers products for free in exchange for videos 80% of them just run off with the free products or take five months to get the video made so that’s a good question man that’s a really good question um to be honest the thing with micro influencers and I talked about this in the course too is that micro influencers don’t really want to work with you if your job shipping rate like once like it’s tough man cuz like you have to put yourself in their shoes right first of all they have this audience that they worked really hard to build and they don’t want to disappoint their audience they want to be honest with their audience and so when you first reach out to them they might be thinking that this is just like a real brand and it’s gonna be you know it’s a great collaboration opportunity and then you get to get the product from China it’s like a low quality product that’s disappointing and so they just don’t want to post for you anymore and so a lot of the time they’re just gonna ignore you after that and so that’s that’s one of the reasons why I talk more about page influencers versus personal influencers for dropshipping is that it’s tough to get micro influencers to to work with you drop shipping I mean it’s possible and I’ve done it and I show an example in the course of that of like and post that I did with micro influencers that did 10k in sales and I I didn’t have to pay anything for it and so I mean that’s another cool thing in the course all right so I think all right I’ll answer one more question just because there’s so many and I really appreciate all you guys tuning in I mean this has been awesome I was really nervous about the livestream you guys might have seen that at the start I was pretty anxious just because I mean there’s a lot of people not used to this but I mean it’s it’s awesome I really appreciate you guys tuning in so I’m gonna pick one one last question so when testing products do you try it to hold out until you find something that’s early on the trend or do you go ahead and test things that I’ve been working for over a year um so like I said I’m very picky about the products that I test so I will try to find something that’s early in the trend now products do go through cycles so if there’s something that blew up lately like I’m sorry if something blew up a while back like a year ago and then it had like a downtrend and then you see that it’s starting to uptrend again and there’s not a lot of competition that’s also another good scenario of one you can get into a product right like after the hype died down and like not a lot of people are trying to sell it but it’s still like a proven product it still solves a big problem something like that that’s a good product to test and so yeah I would definitely recommend though that you do try to get in early on the trend right or else it’s gonna be like fidget spinners you’re gonna like people who made stores with fidget spinners they made a killing for like a month and then it was all over so so yeah alright I mean that’s the last question I’m gonna order I’m sorry that’s the last question I’m gonna answer thanks a lot to everyone who tuned in I really appreciate you guys hanging out with me and if you’re on it yet I’m just gonna do a quick plug for the course if you haven’t yet make sure to join the waitlist it’s gonna be extremely a super valuable course and you’re gonna get a massive discount if you join the waitlist so definitely join the waitlist and yeah quick pitch for the course it’s not your typical a-to-z course it’s a case study where I reveal a store that I scaled to a million dollars in sales in just five months and I reveal everything about it and I take you step-by-step with real examples on how you can do the same thing so definitely check out the waitlist if you haven’t yet it’s gonna be launching tomorrow at 4 p.m. Eastern and yeah I hope to see you guys in the course and once again thanks thanks to everyone be tuned in I hope that we can I’m probably gonna do a lot more of these live streams in the future because it’s been awesome so yeah thanks everyone I really preciate you tuning in alright bye

At the side of Your Logo to a Product | Turn a Dropshipping Store Exact into a Private Stamp Set

hey everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be talking about how you can turn a dropshipping store into a private label brand so if you already have a one product dropshipping store that’s doing really well or you have a niche store and you have some products that are extremely successful and you want to private label them to take things to the next level and start building a real brand and this is the perfect video for you I’m gonna be showing you two different methods that you can use to do this so without further ado let’s get right into the content alright so first off I want to show you an example of what your end goal could be with private labeling a one product dropshipping store so this brand right here is called blend jet calm and this is a great example now I don’t think these guys ever did any drop shipping just based on how how well everything was executed this was probably a team of experts that you know started this as an e-commerce brand right from the start however this is something that you could have started drop shipping and then eventually transitioned to a private label brand and so that’s why I’m gonna use an example because it’s a really good example and so they sell these USB blenders now this USB blender is on Aliexpress and I’m not sure this is the exact one but there’s a bunch of variations and essentially it’s it’s this USB blender from Aliexpress so what they could have done and what you could have done is you could have started a brand called let’s say blender Pro so you start blend Pro and you created one product brand around this product and you know you can brand your website you can have a nice blend Pro logo you can have them make everything branded the only thing is that your product wouldn’t be branded and you know that’s not the end of the world as long as people still understand that it’s a USB blender isn’t just because I don’t have your logo on it that’s not a complete deal-breaker right obviously it’s better to have your logo on it and that’s why you eventually want to transition to private labeling but it’s not necessary to start off so you could start off just drop shipping and then having a completely branded website and then just this non branded product and then once you get to the point where you have consistent orders and you start scaling your brand a little bit that’s when you can consider you know actually getting your logo put on the product to increase your branding to make it look more trustworthy and to really start taking things to the next level and that’s what I may be talking about in this video all right so I want to quickly touch on the pros and cons of private labeling so number one is that it’s great for branding and it gives you a higher perceived value right it’s obvious that it’s great for branding you know having your logo definitely solidifies your brand but it definitely gives you a higher perceived value so if everyone’s selling you know what one has a higher perceived value to you that product from Aliexpress I just showed you that USB blender or the one from blend jet with the blend jet logo on it even though it’s probably a very very similar product the one from blend jet seems like it’s worth a lot more and it has a much higher perceived value because they built this great brand around it and they have their logo on it and so that’s one of the main pros of private label in your products now another one is that it’s better for influencer marketing if you just have generic products right out of China without any branding you’re gonna have a really hard time finding personal influencers that I want to share your product with their followers right because personal influencers really care about their followers it’s an audience that they built over a long period of time they worked hard to build an audience and so they’re not just gonna promote any product you know that any product that presents itself they want to prod they want to promote products that they really relate to and that they like the brand and so if you have a really nice brand and you have your logos on the product if you have your logo on the product then you’re much more likely to find personal influencers who are willing to work with you and blend jett is a great example of this they did a massive influencer campaign with Jen Selter and Jen Selter is a very famous gym influencer and so by partnering up with an influencer like that they were able to take their brand to the next level and you know they use Jen Selter and a bunch of marketing assets now and so that wouldn’t have not been possible if they were just dropshipping the USB blender from China now another Pro is long-term brand building if you want if you want to build a long-term brand it’s kind of essential that you know you private label your products you have your logo on it or make your own custom products it’s really hard to build a long-term brand just drop shipping because everyone has the same products everyone has access to the same products and so there’s really no unique value proposition to your brand if you just have you know regular the same products as everyone else and so private label in your products is great for long term brand building now another Pro is that it’s harder to copy and this is for sure you know this is a real this is a real thing if you have your logo on the product it’s much harder to copy because you can make ads showing off that logo so you know you could purposely record it and so that the logo is always in the frame and then you can ask the models to always show the logo you know show it off and so even if people copy your ads the logo is still going to be so visible that people are gonna know that this the original ad was from you know that brand and so they’re just gonna go to that brand anyways when they see that the website that was advertising it isn’t actually that brand and so it’s much harder to copy a private label because you know you have the logo on the products and so all your marketing assets are branded and so I want to show you this this is a screenshot that I took from about two weeks ago and this is a split test that I was running with one of my private label brands and so this is a new brand that I’m working on this is the main thing that I’m working on at the moment and I was split testing the two so I had a new product that had that was private label so it had my logo on it and it had a custom product page with you know photos of the private label product and then I had the old product page which is just the regular product from Aliexpress and you know no logo on the product and I ran a split test so with the same traffic from Facebook and I was split testing the traffic and I saw I wanted to see which one converted better and you know I was expecting the new product to convert better obviously and it did and so these were the stats the new product converted at 9.2 percent and the old product converted at 7 percent and so I was able to get a conversion rate 2.2 percent better by private labeling the product and this is what I’m talking about with increased perceived value right since I have my logo on it and I have a real brand people are more interested in buying there’s a higher perceived value and so I can either charge the same price and then I’ll get a higher conversion rate like in this case or I could raise the price and maintain the same conversion rate as before I private label the product and so that’s one of the main advantages of private labeling you can charge more or you’ll get a better conversion rate which will definitely help you scale your brand further all right so now on to the cons number one is that you can’t dropship anymore you need a fulfillment center and so this is annoying because drop shipping is easy there’s no upfront risk with private label there is some upfront risk unlike drop shipping because you need to buy in bulk to meet the minimum order quantity and then you need to send it to a fulfillment center and so the moq which means minimum order quantity the moq is usually anywhere from a thousand to ten thousand pieces and so you do need to order in bulk in order to private label and so you know if you have a product that’s doing really well right now and everything’s going great and so you tell yourself that you’re gonna private label to take things to the next level and so you start the private labeling process you order like five thousand pieces and then all the sudden your product dies off and you can’t get it to go off again then you’re gonna be stuck with that inventory and you just lost a lot of money so there is upfront risk with private labeling and that’s one thing that you need to understand however you can also pay off like I showed you guys with the comment with the pros now in other cons that you need to manage stock levels now this is really not that big of a deal you just need to once in a while to check how much stock you have and then reorder based on that and based on your projections of how much you’re gonna be selling in the future all right so now I want to talk about the easy way to transition from a drop shipping store to a private label brand and this is the easiest way that I know of and this is what I did for my new brand that I was talking about earlier in the video so this is for people who are already working with an agent for dropshipping and so you’re already working with that agent he’s already shipping out your orders for the product that you want a private label and so you can just ask you can say hey I want a private label this product can you help me out and what they can do is they can negotiate with manufacturers they can source the best manufacturer to private label your the product and then they can negotiate and you know agree to terms on price and minimum order quantity and then they can buy the stock and store it for you the same way that they were already doing you know drop shipping agents or sourcing agents whatever you want to call them that’s what they already do they buy the products in bulk for you and then they store it and then they ship your orders and so they’re you know it’s the exact same thing the only difference is that they need to buy in larger quantities and they need to negotiate with the manufacturer a little bit to get it private labeled and so the only difference the only change that I had to make you know I was already shipping out on my orders with this agent I was already working with them the only change that I had to make is I had to buy a little bit more stock up front to meet the minimum order quantity in my case it was a minimum order quantity of like 10,000 but the product was really cheap and so it wasn’t that big of a deal and so I had to buy it you know so I bought a lot of stock and I got my logo on the product and all I had to do was talk to my talk to my agent and then send him pictures of what I want the product to look like and then send him the design files and he negotiated with the manufacturer and he bought the stock from and he stored it in his warehouse and so you know for me I didn’t have to do anything different all I have to do is pay a little bit more upfront just so he could buy the stock so this is the easiest way by far to private-label right you don’t have to change anything you can continue shipping out of China and you know you can get the cheap shipping costs out of China and everything is really easy now the downside is that you know the fact that you’re still shipping out of China is like a blessing and a curse at the same time because it’s a blessing because you can cheat you can ship internationally at a really cheap cost but it’s a curse because you know it takes a while to get to like the United States things like that and you can get a lot of customer complaints but you know you can still get some faster shipping methods out of China with an agent so it’s not that bad now the harder way to transition is to use a us-based fulfillment center like ship on and now I’ve done this for one of my other brands beauty charcoal this was one of my first brands and this is what I did so I used a us-based fulfillment center like ship Bob and then I ordered in bulk from Alibaba and I handled all the negotiations in the private labeling myself and so essentially all you have to do is go on Alibaba and then search for your product name and then add the keyword private label or OAM or something like that um and then you know find a supplier that can I can try to label the product for you and usually there’s a ton it’s not hard it’s not difficult to find and then you need to order in bulk and so you can do the whole payment you can do everything through Alibaba you know you can talk to your suppliers send them the design files you know work on the packaging over Alibaba and then you can pay with Alibaba trade insurance which is you know very safe so you’re not gonna get scammed or anything like that it’s super safe and then they can send the inventory to your fulfillment center in the US and so if you’re gonna use a us-based fulfillment center I would recommend chip Bob I had no problems with them when I was doing beauty charcoal and so that’s a great way to do it now there are some downsides to this number one is that you’re subject to US customs and this can be complicated for FDA regulated products now this is a problem that I had with beauty charcoal quite a few times my shipments got stopped by the FDA even though my product was FDA approved it was really difficult to you know get everything handled because I’m not a u.s. resident and so I had to keep you know calling back and forth with the FDA filling out a bunch of forms which was really annoying and now since there’s a trade war going on between the US and China this is probably even more intensely regulated and so you know if you have like health related products it can be very difficult to get them into the United States and customs will give you a hard time and you know there’s a lot of fees and all types of tariffs now and so you know US Customs can be complicated and that’s why shipping out of China can be a really easy solution now another problem with this is that it’s more expensive for shipping and you know it’s more expensive for shipping especially internationally so when you’re shipping out of the u.s. shipping out internationally is going to be expensive it’s gonna be at least eight or nine dollars and it’s it takes more time and so you know it doesn’t take more time but it takes like the same amount of time like let’s say you’re shipping out to like Europe from from the US it would honestly take the same amount of time as in shipping from China to Europe that would take the same amount of time and so you know you need to you need to decide based on what your main target market is where you want to base your fulfillment center and you can also split them across right you can do a mix of Bob and then a mix of using an agent and I’m so you ship up for US orders and then an agent for international orders that’s another great way to do it now you know so more expensive for shipping but it’s also much faster domestically right so that’s a big Pro of using something like ship Bob is that you can ship your products within the US in like under a week and sometimes as fast as like two-day delivery and so that definitely helps for long-term brand building so just going back to the blend jet example so I just looked up on Alibaba I looked up USB blender private-label and so the first couple of ones aren’t what I’m looking for this is pretty similar but this isn’t the one we’re looking for so there’s a few alternatives right so you could also one great thing about buying in bulk is that you have more options than just Aliexpress so that’s another opportunity to differentiate yourself if you want to build a real brand you could find a slightly different product but I’m gonna try to find the exact same one and so I think this is it I think this is the exact same one and so is this so yeah these are both great options and so you could take this one I think this one has a higher transaction level so yeah I would look at the transaction level so this one has a transaction level of 360,000 this one only 50,000 and this one has a better response rate and a better rating and so you definitely want to go with this one and it’s also a verified supplier and so that’s that’s a great that’s a great song and so you could click on here and then you know as you can see they should probably say something about customization so let’s see if I can find it so they just show you some pictures about it and so I mean I’m pretty sure this is literally the exact same product as as blend jet like the the blades look the same this looks the same everything looks the same and then you know let’s see if they say anything about customization yeah so right here actually so it says customization customized logo so as long as you order 42 curtains so you know they do have a quite a large minimum order quantity for customization because you know 10 cartons is $3,000 and so you do need to order a lot of stock for a customized logo but you know it’s it’s doable and so you could do this and you could get a private labeled product and then just send it out in bulk to a fulfillment center either in the US or in China or wherever you want to put your fulfillment center you could really do it anywhere and that’s the general idea so that’s how you can transition from a drop shipping store to a private label Brent now one more thing I want to show you about this is a great website that you can use to get your logo and your packaging and everything all your design work done now I’m not like sponsored by them or anything but I really I really like this website I think it’s the absolute best bang for your buck that you can get in terms of packaging design and logo design so it’s a little pricey but you know I’m assuming that if you’re going into starting a private label you do have a little bit of budget to spend which you should if you don’t you probably shouldn’t be starting a private label and so this website is called 99 designs and it’s a really great design website so how it works is that you can create it works by design contest and so you can create a contest and so I’m showing you an example this is from when I was designing the the packaging for the charcoal powder so I wanted to design the label for my truck up out ER now this is a really simple design but I wanted it to be done properly and so I used 99 designs and so how that works is you create a contest so this is a bronze package so it’s um it’s I think it’s like four hundred dollars or something like that so how it works is you pay $400 and that becomes the prize money for the contest and then now you get all these really good designers compete over you know which they want to win your four hundred dollars by creating the best design and so the result is that you get hundreds of designs to choose from and you can you know you’re bound to find one that you like and so you pay one price but you get tons of different designs so then you can keep iterating them you can keep working with the designers to get to a final product that you like and so that’s what I did for a beauty charcoal you know these were the the finalist designs I think so this is the one that I went with but then you know if I go back to the that I declined I had so many options right these were all different designs that I could have used for beauty charcoal like there’s a bunch of different ones you know like a ton of different designs and so that’s why I really like 99 designs you can just you pay one price then you get all these different options and you can find something that really suits your brand and so you can you can do all types of design work for on this website you can do packaging you can do you know you can do logos you can do brand identity you can do anything you could imagine and so a really great website for getting all your you know your private label design needs and you know you definitely want to get good design before you private label because like I said there’s a there’s a large minimum order quantity and so you don’t want to like brush the logo because you’re gonna have a lot of products with that logo to sell and so you want to do it once and do it right and so I would definitely recommend 99 designs right every one so that was my take on how to turn a dropshipping store into a private label brand I hope you guys enjoyed it and I hope it was useful now I have a quick announcement to make so I’ve been working on a course slash case study hybrid where I show you exactly how I started a new store in July 2018 and scaled it to over a million dollars in sales by December 2018 and so I show you exactly you know I reveal the store and I show you exactly how I ran the ads how I made the ads how I scaled them I ran the operation so I manage the fulfillment how I setup the customer service I show you everything about the store in a real case study slash course hybrid and so this is it’s gonna be a great opportunity for you guys to see all the theory that I teach on my channel in practice and I’m really excited to release that and I’m gonna be releasing that on February 7th and so this is gonna be paid content because I’m revealing one of my stores I’m putting a lot of work into it and so I think it’s only fair that I charge for this content and so yeah that’s going to be dropping February 7th and if you want to be the first to hear about it and get an exclusive discount when it does launch make sure to join the waitlist for that so I’m gonna have a link in the description it’s probably gonna be the first or second link and you can sign up with your email there and it’s gonna be you know you’re gonna be a part of the waitlist when I launch the course and you’re gonna receive an exclusive discount and so that was the announcement and on that note I hope you guys enjoyed the video and I’ll see you guys next time

How Great Money Pause You Have to Birth Dropshipping in 2019?

hey everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be answering a question that I get asked all the time which is how much money do you really need to start your own drop shipping business and a lot of people want to know this and want to know how much money they should be setting aside before they can jump in to drop shipping and so in this video I’m gonna be trying to answer that question to the best of my ability and also give you two different strategies that you can use based on your starting budget so one strategy for a low budget and one strategy for a higher starting budget so without further ado let’s get right into the content so first off I’m gonna be answering the question which is what is the absolute minimum amount of money that you can start dropshipping with and in my opinion this would be around $200 and a credit card just buying your Shopify plan and your domain name and then a few apps maybe and even for apps you can mainly use free trials or free apps but once you take on once you take in all those fixed costs you’re gonna be left with about $150 out of that original $200 for your marketing and for dropshipping marketing is the biggest expense and this is a mistake that I see a lot of new you know people who want to get into making their own online store they think that they can just make the store then sales will come in and that’s just not the case the biggest expense will be the marketing because if you don’t run any marketing you’re not gonna have anyone go in your store and you’re not gonna have any purchases so the bare minimum that would recommend is having two hundred dollars plus a credit card now another important thing to note here is that if you’re starting with less than a thousand dollars you probably can’t afford Facebook ads unless you know exactly what you’re doing and most people who get in to drop shipping they want to get into Facebook ads right away because it’s an attractive option and it sounds nice and it sounds easy and people make it look easy but the truth is that Facebook ads is really difficult it requires an extreme amount of testing you need to test on ads religiously headlines ad copy different audiences and so unless you have a thousand dollars to invest into testing and to properly launching a product you’re gonna have a really hard time successfully starting up a drop shipping business with Facebook ads what usually happens is that people blow up blow all their money into Facebook ads without getting almost any return and then they decide to quit drop shipping and so what you can do instead if you’re starting with a lower budget that’s less than a thousand dollars and as low as $200 what I’d recommend you do is that you start instead with cost-effective Instagram influence or post now Instagram influencer posts are different than Facebook Ads Facebook Ads is an auction system and there’s an enormous amount of advertisers and so the advertising costs on Facebook ads are always exactly where they need to be for someone to be able to afford it so that’s kind of a bad explanation but basically the price of Facebook ads is always exactly what it’s worth at the time to other advertisers so if you’re not keeping up with other advertisers you’re gonna have a really really hard time being profitable on Facebook ads but with Instagram influence your posts it’s not a bidding system it’s not this massive free market like Facebook ads you can just go up to influencers and you can say hello I want to promote my product I’ll pay you this much for a 24 hour post on your feed here’s the post that I want you to publish on your feed and this is exactly what I did and I talked about this on the next slide this is exactly what I did if you guys don’t know my story on how I started drop shipping I started in early 2017 and I started with my first store it was called Beauty charcoal and I was selling the charcoal teeth whitening powder and I started this brand with less than five hundred dollars in the bank and what I did was I found a cheap product that solves a problem and is starting to trend well and I just ran simple page influencer promotions and multiple ended up going viral with 5x plus rose and some failed so the result is that I was able to spend very little amount on Instagram influencers and then get an enormous amount of sales which gave me the capital to then shift over to on Facebook Ads and start private labeling and just to show you the actual ads that I was running I took these screenshots from my phone these are from a while back like from 2017 but just to show you the type of post that I was doing I only had less than $500 in my bank account and I was using it to to buy these posts so I would I would communicate with these pages I would build up relationships with them to get good to get good rates and then I would post simple ads like this so for the charcoal product I would do like a beauty charcoal or the best for teeth whitening and then up before during and after photo but as you can see this is an example of one that paid off massively I think I paid $50 for this for this promotion and as you can see I got 62,000 likes the amount of impressions was insane and I think it did over $10,000 in sales just that day with a post that I paid that I paid $50 for and now I don’t want to set misleading expectations because this is this is really untypical results for Instagram influencers and especially nowadays because it is more competitive but if you pick the pages carefully and you you negotiate and you do your due diligence you’re able to get some really good return on adspend on Instagram influencers without having a high barrier to entry so you don’t need to spend a lot to test beforehand and you can just get right into it and so this is kind of an overview of the strategy and I know that for some for some people this was really confusing so what you can do is actually check I’m gonna have a link in the description I have a video on this exact strategy so for people who are starting with a lower budget the video is called easiest way to start drop shipping with $200 and I explained this exact strategy on how you can find these low-cost Instagram influencer pages and run promotions on their and then start making a lot of sales that way and so make sure to watch that video if you haven’t yet because it’s gonna be really useful so before we move on to the second strategy which is the one that requires more startup costs I want to quickly recap the pros and cons of using Instagram influencers to start up your drop shipping business with $200 so the pros first of all is that there’s a low barrier to entry so this is why I recommend it for people with lower budgets there’s a low barrier to entry and there’s potential for high returns so you can like I mentioned earlier you can really build up relationships with influencers and start negotiating and get really good deals that you just couldn’t get otherwise on a platform like Facebook gods and so you can use that to your advantage to you know use your budget as efficiently as possible to optimize and start getting some sales right away with the smallest amount of ad spend and with Facebook that’s really difficult to do especially if you have no experience whatsoever and there’s definitely a potential for hybrid terms like I showed with that beauty charcoal screenshot you know the post that I paid $50 for and that ended up generating $10,000 or more in sales and so that doesn’t happen all the time obviously but there is the potential that your post could go viral and then bringing a lot of sales and the main thing that affects whether or not a post will go viral is the amount of real engagement that it generates and so my best tip if you’re going to use this strategy to start off with Instagram influencers on a low budget is to make ads that are sort of provocating or attention-grabbing or funny or something don’t just be generic you want to provoke a reaction in your audience even if it’s not the best reaction just having a lot of engagement in the comments and a lot of discussions it’s gonna boost that post a lot get a lot more reach and that’s really the key with Instagram influencers so also keep that in mind now the last pro of Instagram influencers is that you can use the data for Facebook Ads later on so once you run Instagram influencers for long enough time and you start building up capital so let’s say you have $2,000 now you can switch over to Facebook Ads with your $2,000 and the best part is that you can use all the data that you pulled in from your Instagram account and from the people who visited your website you can use all that data and Facebook Ads later on as long as you have the Facebook pixel installed on your site and so that’s on another great part of using Instagram influencers is that once you do decide to switch over to Facebook Ads you can utilize the data that you already collected with Instagram to make your life a lot easier on Facebook now there is some cons to Instagram influencers number one is that it’s extremely competitive this goes with the first Pro the fact that it has a low barrier to entry if it has a low barrier to entry it’s going to be competitive that’s just the way things work now another con with Instagram influencers is that they’re very inconsistent Instagram page influencers specifically and so if you start doing really well with a product with Instagram influencers odds are that it’s not gonna last very long and you’re going to need to start evolving and find something else to hop on so trends don’t really last long with Instagram influencers because people really copy each other and start doing the same thing and then everyone sees it really quickly and it just becomes phased out and so this happens with a lot of products like overall Instagram another two go back to the example of beauty charcoal when I started running these Instagram ads with before during and after photos it became a thing that a ton of other competitors started doing red because there’s no barrier to entry everyone can do the same thing as me and so everyone started doing it it was extremely competitive and then my ads started becoming inconsistent and so I had to evolve and start looking for new advertising strategies and that’s why that’s when I moved to Facebook ads which is the second strategy I may be talking about next and now just the last con that I want to highlight about Instagram influencers is that there’s a lot less scaling potential and just for the purpose of this video I’m referring mainly to Instagram page influencers so using personal influences you can scale it you know you can scale a lot using personal influencers a ton of brands have done it before but in general there’s less scaling potential if you’re focusing only on doing Instagram influence their posts versus something like Facebook Ads that you can just found you know aggressively scale to the billions of users that are on Facebook now I want to talk a little bit about the higher budget option which is Facebook Ads so this is for people that have at least two thousand dollars saved up and they want to get into dropshipping and in this case you could first you could try the option that I was talking about earlier which is Instagram influencers because even if you do have $2,000 or more it is still a great learning experience and you can build up even more capital and go confidently into Facebook ads with data from Instagram but a lot of people want to go straight into Facebook ads and if that’s if that applies to you I would recommend you have at least $2,000 saved up because as a complete beginner you must be willing to lose some of your money testing and learning especially if you have no prior experience at all and so if you go straight into Facebook ads with not enough budget odds are you’re gonna blow it all and you’re not gonna make any profit back and it’s not gonna turn out well for you and so if you start off with Instagram influencers and you start building up more capital let’s say you build up a thousand dollars in capital then maybe you can start testing Facebook Ads because you already have experience you know fulfilling orders making good drop shipping ads all that type of thing and you have the data from Instagram that will help you propel your Facebook ads and save money testing right but if you’re going straight into Facebook ads in that case I would recommend that you have at least two thousand dollars saved up because in my experience you’re gonna need to spend at least a thousand dollars on a new product to launch it and figure out what’s working and to show you that more in detail I have a video about this exactly it’s called product launch blueprint and I’m gonna have the link in the description and it covers this exact method on how to launch a product with Facebook Ads if you have a little bit more capital to start with and in the in that video I show you I show you my ads manager when I was starting my one of my new private label brands that’s doing about ten thousand dollars a day in sales right now and I was showing you that I had to spend seventeen hundred dollars before I started turning a profit on that store and so that’s why I recommend that if you’re gonna go purely with Facebook ads which is what I did for that store you have a little bit more saved up so that you have more more room to play with and to test and to really give yourself the chance to succeed so before in the video I want to quickly go over the pros and cons of starting out with Facebook ads versus using Instagram influencers so first off the pros number one is that it’s more consistent than Instagram influencers when I was talking about Instagram influencers earlier I said that one of the main cons is that it’s not consistent when you buy post from Instagram influencers it’s kind of like taking a shot in the dark and you really don’t know whether or not you’re gonna get a return on investment with Facebook Ads you can take a more data-driven approach and really focus on the audiences and the ads that are performing for you and scale that way so Facebook Ads gives you the opportunity to be a lot more consistent that’s not to say that Facebook ads will be consistent for you because it’s really difficult to be Facebook to be consistent with Facebook ads but if you do it right it’s possible to be consistent with Facebook ads more so than Instagram influencers now another Pro is that Facebook ads has more scaling potential than Instagram influencers Facebook Ads is the second largest ad network after Google I believe and so the potential reach on Facebook ads is enormous and you can really scale out your campaigns to crazy numbers with Facebook now the last Pro is that it’s better for long-term growth in my opinion and I’m gonna show you an example of a brand that achieved continuous growth with Facebook ads and that’s still getting crazy numbers today with a dropshipping product and this is a really great example of why I think that it’s better for long-term growth and there’s a bunch of example of brands like this that just continuously advertise on Facebook profitably and it’s a great example of how Facebook Ads can really benefit your long-term growth now the cons of Facebook ads is that it’s extremely expensive and difficult to master Facebook ads costs have been rising enormous ly in the last few years I think that January 2019 was one of the worst months for Facebook ads historically in terms of performance and so it’s extremely expensive and it’s difficult to master so that’s why I do recommend that you have a larger amount or larger startup amount to start off with Facebook ads versus Instagram influencers because it is expensive and extremely difficult to master now another con is that there’s a very steep learning curve and once you start out with Facebook ads you know it’s it’s difficult to figure everything out and to really understand how everything works and so the learning curve is definitely steep and a lot of people try to bypass this by just hiring an agency to take care of their ads or something like that but in my opinion if you have the budget it’s worth it to learn it and really understand it and then you can start actually using it to the benefit of your business and start getting consistent results with Facebook Ads now the last con is that it requires a lot more testing it requires a lot more testing than virtually any other ad platform because of the amount of advertisers and the high ad costs the only way that you’re gonna get a profitable campaign running on Facebook is if you do a lot of testing to figure out the absolute best creative plus audience combination and find a way to scale your campaigns and so that is the last con with Facebook ads it’s a lot more expensive another reason why I do recommend having a larger starting budget so this is an example of a company that’s been achieving serious growth with just Facebook ads and they’ve been able to take a regular job shipping product and then brand it and grow it into a proper brand that’s not probably worth a figures and so this is a great example of how Facebook Ads can really take your business to the next level this would be difficult to do with just Instagram page influencers this particular product would probably work well with personal influencers for example sending it to you know fitness models that type of thing where they can promote it but doing just regular influencer posts on meme pages and on girl pages pages like that probably wouldn’t work as well and they wouldn’t be able to scale the – they wouldn’t be able to scale as much as they did with Facebook ads just to show you how much they’ve been scaling this video was posted 16 days ago and it has 25 million views so 25 million views is an enormous amount of views and so blend jet is definitely doing extremely well and they have very simple ads the similar type of ads that you would see on a dropshipping store they’re just demonstrating their product and this product is branded it has their logo on them on it but that’s really not difficult to do right this is this product I actually pulled it up on Aliexpress it’s this exact same product here all they did was they contacted this manufacturer and slap their logo on it and this is not difficult to do and it allowed them to really increase the branding and scale even further with Facebook ads and so that’s another thing that you can do long-term with e-commerce not directly related to the topic of this video but still cool and I thought that I showed you I’d show you this site and so this is a greetings inspiration for a one product store that’s doing extremely well with Facebook Ads at the moment alright everyone so that is pretty much it for this video I hope you guys enjoyed it it was bit shorter than usual because I’m really busy this week but I still hope that it was insightful and useful for you guys so basically the minimum amount of money that you need to start drop shipping in 2019 is $200 in my opinion if you have $200 or more you can get started with low-cost Instagram influencers promotions if you have $2,000 or more you can jump straight into Facebook Ads but you just have to be ready to lose money testing and learning before you can actually start turning a profit and so if you want to start with them if you if you’re interested in starting with $200 or similar budget to that I have a video just for that the link is in the description and if you want to start launching a product with facebook ads and you have more budget to play with I have also another video for that so I’m gonna have both links in the description and you guys feel free to watch those ones just one last thing if you haven’t joined my facebook group yet it’s gonna be the second link in the description and I’d really recommend that you join that group I think we’re at 15,000 members now and it’s extremely active and it’s a great place to get all your questions answered related to drop shipping and e-commerce so on that note I really hope you guys enjoy this video and I’ll see you next time

Fb Ads Scaling Blueprint | $10K/Day With One Product [Step-by-Step]

hey everyone Gabriel here in this video I’m gonna be showing you my exact strategy to scale drop shipping products to 10k a day in sales with Facebook Ads so this new store crossed 10k a day yesterday and so I thought that I’d make a video sharing the exact blueprint that I used to scale to 10k today so first off I want to show you some proof so this is the store right here and as you can see today it’s done 6.6 K in sales so far and there’s still a good chunk of the day left and so I think that this will hit 10k today as well but if I go to this month you can see that you can see that at the start of the month this store was doing about 5k a day in sales all the way up to 6 K and then yesterday I deployed a bunch of new ad sets and we reach 10k a day in sales and we’re on track to do that again today and so the profit margins right now are about 20 to 25% which is really good if you’re scaling on Facebook once you start scaling on Facebook the margins start getting lower and lower because you’re buying up more ad space and so you have to pay more right and add ads are expensive and so it’s really difficult to maintain high profit margins when you’re scaling with Facebook so yeah without further adieu let’s get into the strategy first off I want to talk a little bit about the foundation that you need in order to start scaling with Facebook because a lot of people try to jump into scaling too early and then they don’t get the results that they expect and so there’s a few things that you need to have down before you can start scaling so number one is that you’re currently profitable on Facebook ads with the product out of smaller scale so you’ve started testing the product and you’ve been profitable your net margins should be at least thirty to forty percent on a small ad spend because like I mentioned at the start of the video when you start scaling your margins will get lower and so you should only scale a product that you’ve been profitable with at a lower ad spend and that you know has been proven to work and then you can start scaling it and your margins will gradually decline but you’ll do a lot more volume and you’ll therefore make more profit so I repeated that here do not attempt to scale profit a product that is barely profitable at a low spent it’s not gonna work well and I see this question all the time people are saying like my products doing well with five dollar ad sets whenever I increase the budget it doesn’t do as well that means that you need to work on making your ads better or work on making your website better before you can scale so don’t try to scale a product if you’re not profitable at a low ad spend now another requirement is that you’ve already thoroughly tested different creatives and found at least three winning creatives and so I talk about this and pretty much all my videos you have to test as many creatives as possible with Facebook Ads if you want to be successful and before scaling I’d recommend that you found at least three creatives that are doing well and that you can use in your ads because you don’t want to scale with just one creative that’s something that I’ve learned over time you want to scale with multiple creatives so that your creatives don’t get exhausted as fast and that you can switch them out when when once stopped one stops performing as well so that’s very important already have thoroughly tested different creatives now another point that I put here is that you need to collect enough data to test all different look-alikes and that means that you need to have preferably 500 sales or more and if you don’t have 500 sales you can still test other look-alikes but to really scale you want to have a lot of data basically so that you can create look-alikes for a lot of different countries and for a lot of different source custom audiences and so I wouldn’t recommend trying to scale before you’ve collected a lot of data and that’s usually about at the point where you have 500 sales or more another important thing that you need to have if you’re going to scale is you need to have enough credit or cash to scale while still having money to pay for your orders right because you’re gonna you’re gonna need to spend the money on ads right away and then if you don’t have enough money left over to fulfill your orders you’re gonna have a hard time there’s gonna be a long processing delays and so you have a lot of charge backs a lot of refunds a lot of customer complaints so before you start scaling like crazy make sure that you do have the cash flow necessary to do that now there’s more things here I put a foundation part two there’s a few more things that you need to have in place so you need to have a business manager account with multiple ad accounts now this isn’t a hundred percent necessary but if you plan on scaling it’s a good thing to do right so you want to have multiple ad accounts and that’s what a business manager account allows you to do if you sign up for a business manager account you can create five different ad accounts and this is important because by default ad accounts have a 5k a day spending limit and they don’t tell you this but once you reach 5k then I’d spend even if you’re only halfway through the day it’s gonna completely stop spending on your ads and so if you want to scale past a 5k a day ad spend you need to have multiple ad accounts or you need to get on an honest on a call with Facebook to get them to lift this 5k a day limit so for beginners the best way is just to run multiple addict and this is also important if one of your ad accounts gets disabled for whatever reasons your whole campaigns not going to be completely dead if you spread it across multiple ad accounts and so this is an important part of the foundation to scale a campaign as well now another thing I put here is you need to have a good reliable fulfillment system in place so I wouldn’t recommend scaling if you’re using Aliexpress to fulfill your orders that’s just very inefficient your your packages aren’t gonna get shipped out on time and if they do it’s gonna be a mess to make that happen you’re gonna need to fulfill a lot of orders manually and so basically you need to have a reliable fulfillment system in place that you’ve tested that you know works before you scale because if you scale you get a lot of orders and you find out that you can’t fulfill them you’re gonna have to refund all those orders but the ad spend that you spent to get those orders is non-refundable so your loss is gonna be really big so make sure that you have a reliable system in place now a second last thing is you need to have a good customer service team in place to handle the support requests as you start scaling naturally you’re gonna get a lot more customer quests and you need to have a team to handle that you can’t do that all yourself nor should you so have a good customer service team in place before you scale now the last point that I put here which is really important is you need to have a good conversion rate on your store even if you’re profitable at a lower ad spend but your conversion rate is like 2% or something like that you’re gonna have a hard time scaling the conversion rate is taken into account in the Facebook Ads auction and so Facebook’s gonna it’s gonna favor ads that are driving a lot of conversions when you’re optimizing for conversions so you need to have a good conversion rate on your conversion that you’re optimizing for so if you’re optimizing for purchases you need to have a good purchase conversion rate and if you don’t you’re gonna have a hard time scaling because once Facebook notices that you’re not getting a good conversion rate it’s gonna assume that it’s not relevant to the traffic or whatever and it’s gonna stop showing your ad as much so this is really important make sure that you have a good conversion rate before you scale and there’s many different ways to improve your conversion rate mainly improving your branding and improving your store design and improving your product page all right so now that I’ve covered the foundation we can move into the actual strategy so before I actually dive into the strategy I want to talk a little bit about the account structure the ad account structure that I use to manage my campaigns and keep it organized because what you start scaling you’re gonna have a lot of add sets a lot of Camping’s and it helps to have a good structures to keep everything organized and clean so how I like to organize my campaigns is that I’ll have three different tags for each campaign cold warm and hot cold traffic is people that have never heard about your brand they’ve never visited your website and so those are them for example if you’re just targeting interests on Facebook or look like audiences these are people that I’ve never heard about your brand before and so that is the top of the funnel on top of the funnel because it’s the biggest audience right there’s a lot of people who haven’t heard about your brand and so that’s the top of the funnel cold traffic so all my campaigns were on testing look-alike audiences interests I’m gonna have the cold tag in it so I know that it’s called traffic now I’m gonna make a separate campaign for my warm audiences now warm audiences are the people that have already maybe watched a video of yours on Facebook or seen your ads but they haven’t gone on your website they haven’t decided to actually check out your brand further and so on Facebook that includes your video of yours so 95% video here is seventy five percent video viewers Facebook ad engagement those audiences or what what’s called a warm audience now the hot audience which is the bottom of funnel audience is people who have actually visited your website and maybe interacted maybe added to cart initiated checkout and even bought your products before and so these are the warmest that’s your warmest audience so the hot audience and these are the that’s the most profitable audience is the audience that already knows your brand and so that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to reach to make them know about you right they already know about you and you can sell them a lot of product and so this is how I structure my campaign so the hot the hot P the hot audiences would be website visitors at the curt initiate checkout and so on so that’s the first part of the strategy you need to understand how to properly structure your campaigns so I took a screenshot from my ads manager to show you how I structure my campaigns just to show you that in practice what I was showing you in the last slide so how I structure it is I’ll have the to letter code for the store name starting off the campaign name and then I’ll have an underscore and then I’ll have either cold warm or hot so the traffic classification so that I know that this campaign is targeting cold traffic or warm traffic or hot traffic now this is pretty basic stuff but having a good organization in your campaigns will keep you a lot more structure and it’ll help you to scale easier and then the last thing I’ll have another underscore then I’ll have the optimization so usually purchase and then for some campaigns I’ll have PPE here and then right after I just put the country that I’m targeting for this campaign I like to split my campaigns by country and then I’ll have a small description after that so interest tests lle tests and as you can see I have a lot of look-alike audiences test for a lot of different countries here and so this is how I like to structure my campaigns and it keeps it nice and organized now moving on to the actual strategy so the first part of the strategy is to scale horizontally first if you haven’t so you want to test all look like audiences for all countries that you have enough data for so by all look-alike audiences I mean as many different source custom audiences as possible you want to try them to build a look-alike audience from so that includes 95% video viewers you could also test 75% video viewers if you wanted view content a view content tends to not perform the best for me and one that I like to test instead of view content is the top 25 percent visitors buy time spent so this is another look-alike audience that you can test and you can test ad to Curt initiate checkout purchase and there’s a lot more you can also test you know the alt TV purchased from the pixel that is a new custom audience that you can build and then build look-alike audiences from and then there’s also a lot of there’s a ton of different custom audiences that you can test and you can test you should test whatever you have the data for so if you have a lot of data from Instagram try building look-alike audiences from your Instagram data that’s something that you can do with Facebook Ads as well so test as many of these look like audiences as possible for as many countries as possible and the way that all structures is that’ll structure this is I’ll make a cold campaign so I’ll just put cold like I showed you before for each country and then in that campaign I’m gonna test all the look-alike audiences so let’s say I decide to test ninety-five percent video viewers top 25 visitors buy time spent Add to Cart and then purchase so I’m gonna decide to test four types of look-alike audiences per country and then for each country I’m gonna make an individual campaign and then test one percent one to two percent and then two to five percent and so for each campaign I’m gonna have 12 different ad sets with different look-alike audiences now what I’m doing this I like to have three ads per ad set so that I can test different creatives for the different audiences not every audience is going to react two different creatives in the same way so what I like to do is I’ll identify at least three good creatives during my creative testing phase and then I’ll take those three creatives and I’ll put them in every single ad set for these look-alike audiences tests and what this will do is it allowed to identify the best audience plus creative match and therefore get the best return on investment because if you just test if you just find your best creative that creative isn’t gonna perform the best for all different audiences that you’re testing right it might be the best for the audience that you ran the split test on but when you take that creative and show it to different audiences it might not react the same way so I like to identify three good creatives and I’ll put those three creatives in each ad set when doing my tests now during this phase for each ad set for each to look like audience ad set you want to have a starting budget anywhere from five to fifty dollars and now this really just depends on how fast you’re trying to collect data and how fast you want to scale and how much capital you have access to now because like I mentioned at the start you need to make sure that you have enough cash flow to fulfill your orders as well right so if you don’t have the budget to start at $50 you can start maybe at $10 at $20 whatever suits your needs and then you can script on scale gradually because you’re still gonna get data at $5 a day it’s just gonna take a bit longer but you’re still gonna be able to tell whether or not an audience is profitable and so what I like to do is I usually start at $50 because I like collecting data fast and so yeah I’ll have all these different ad sets at $50 and then sort on sorted by campaigns right I’m gonna have individual campaigns for each country and so that’s how I like to structure things now in terms of scaling and optimizing these campaigns what I do is I’ll only make ad set changes every two days and so a lot of people don’t like doing this because you um you waste money but the way I see it is on buying data and I’d like to have reliable data so I can make good decisions on which ad sets to kill and which ad sets to scale now you can do this every day optimize your ads every day but if you understand how statistics works there’s always gonna be some ad sets some days that perform bad even though they could have done well on another day right and so it’s just not enough data even two days data is not really reliable but it’s better than just one day so I like to wait every two days to collect enough data to make reliable decisions after two days what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna kill the unprofitable ad sets and to determine if an ad set is unprofitable you should know what you break-even cost per purchases and if you’re spending more per purchase then you you can afford to then you should kill that that’s it and if your if you find profitable audiences which should be the case if you have good data your profitable ad sets you can increase the budget forty percent without duplicating the ad set Facebook made changes I’m not sure how long ago but a few months ago that affected the way how increasing the budget affects the learning phase so back in the day you could only effect you can only increase the budget twenty percent at a time without throwing off the learning phase and now I’ve heard that it’s around forty percent and that’s what I’ve been using so I’ve been increasing the budget forty percent for my profitable ad sets every two days and at the point where an ad set reaches 150 or more in budget and is still profitable that’s when I’m gonna determine that that’s a good audience and then I can scale to this audience and so to scale to a specific audience what I’m gonna do is I’m gonna switch to manual bidding so I’ll duplicate to a higher budget for instance five hundred dollars is usually where I’ll start and I’ll switch to manual bidding and so manual bidding is a whole different topic on its own and I’m not gonna cover that in depth in this video and you really don’t even need manual bidding to scale to around 10k a day you can do you can get to 10k a day just by scaling horizontally by testing as many different look-alike audiences as possible and as many different countries but when you do decide to scale an audience that you found is really profitable so you increase the budget gradually to over $150 a day and it’s still profitable and you want to scale that more you need to keep in mind the audience sizes so if you’re testing look-alike audiences for like a small a smaller country with small populations and let’s just say that a 1% look-alike audience is 50,000 people with an audience of 50,000 people you’re not gonna be able to scale like crazy right and so you want to keep in mind like if you have an audience of 50,000 people I wouldn’t try to scale that to 500 a budget and so what you can do in this case is you can combine multiple audiences that have a similar cost per purchase to build and you can stack them in the targeting to build a larger audience and then once you have a larger audience then you can increase the budget and switch to manual bidding so that’s a little bit of an advanced trick but it works well so you do need to keep in mind your audience sizes when you’re scaling you don’t want to scale too much and then just have the audience saturated really quickly and a good metric that you can keep track of to see how many times people inside your audience are seeing your ads is the frequency so if you don’t use this yet I’d recommend that you do this you just pull the frequency column on your ads manager and if you have a small audience you might see that the frequency is shooting up really high so for example it could be at like 3.0 and this would tell you that on average each person in this audience has seen your ad three times so that’s one thing to keep in mind you don’t want to scale small audiences too aggressively so just to show you an example of one of these campaigns this is one that I launched two days ago and this is a look like audience test campaign so this is targeting a single country optimizing for purchase and I’m testing for different type of four different types of look like audiences so 95% video viewers VTS 25% and that’s how I like to type out top visitors buy time spent top 25% traders buy time spent so that’s what VTS 25 means and then I have buyers and then Add to Cart and so I have 12 different ad sets each one of these ad sets has three ads inside of it and Facebook’s can optimize towards the best one naturally and once there’s a clear winner I’m gonna kill the two other ads that aren’t performing as well and I’m gonna start scaling start scaling these ad sets so that’s what the general structure should look like now you could have you could be testing five different types of look-alike audiences and then you have 15 odd sets and once you once you test once you start doing these tests you can create more look-alike audiences based on what’s working well so for example if I can just quickly analyze this data it seems as if the add to cart’ look-alikes are performing really well so one thing that I could do right off the bat is start testing further look like audiences because right now I’m only testing one to five percent I could also start testing five to ten percent and another thing I can do is if for example my 95 percent video viewers look-alikes are doing well and I could start testing 75 percent viewers sending for 75 percent video viewers or 50 percent video of yours and start creating more look-alikes similar to these ones and so that’s also how you want to scale you want to keep scaling horizontally but these these ad sets I’m gonna start increasing the budget today because they’ve been running for two days and so the ones that are looking good over those two days I’m gonna increase the budget the other ones I’m gonna kill them and I’m also gonna create more out sets similar to what’s working now just a lot of couple of points to this strategy so as soon as you start scaling you want to really take advantage of your and you’re hot audiences these will deliver the highest Ria’s and as this is obvious this is basically just retargeting but when you structure them by warm and then hot audiences you can start building more advanced funnels so you want to show them you want to show them an offer or an ad relative to where they are in their journey with your brand right so if they only know about if they’ve only seen like a video and they just shown awareness for your brand but they haven’t visited the website or anything like that you can just keep showing them more videos right but if someone has already visited your website they’ve added the cart and they haven’t finished their purchase instead of just showing them more videos showing them the same ad you can start showing different pictures of your product and you can also offer them a discount to encourage them to come finish their purchase so that’s just an example of how you can show different audiences different offers in order to optimize your row as now another thing two more things actually is that you want to keep testing new interests regularly to find more profitable cool audiences to target and avoid audience exhaustion and so this is important you want to keep testing new interests so that you can target completely cold traffic and keep building up your audiences and so you can keep refreshing your look-alike audiences and so this is gonna help you avoid audience exhaustion so don’t settle once you find something that’s working don’t just settle for that keep testing new things and this is really important and same thing here keep testing new creatives regularly to find new winning creatives and avoid ad fatigue ad fatigue is something that happens when you scale an ad for too long and then that ad stops performing as well and so to avoid this you want to constantly test new creatives right so that as soon as one stops performing stops performing as well you can replace it with another one that’s doing better and so this is really important also for consistency and for just running ads at this scale at you know making 10k a day or more if you want to be consistent with that you need to keep introducing new creatives and new audiences all right so before I in this video I just want to highlight a few more key takeaways so first is to scale horizontally first to find your profitable audiences and then start scaling those audiences and this is really important I talk about this a lot but it’s it’s crucial and you can get to levels close to 10k a day just by scaling horizontally now the next takeaway is that you want to utilize all your data effectively and by this I mean test all the look-alike audiences that you can not just the basic ones so like the one that showed you the top 25% visitors my time spent some Instagram custom audiences you want to test all of those and you want to test them as to as many different countries as possible so all countries that you have enough data to build look like audiences for you should probably test it just to see how it does and this will help you scale a lot by targeting new markets instead of just focusing on a few number of markets and now the last takeaway that I put here which is probably the most important for Facebook ads in 2019 and beyond is to test many creatives test a lot of different creatives to find the right ones to scale if you don’t have the right creative you won’t be able to scale it and so this is extremely important and even when you do find it creative that you can scale it’s not going to be forever and eventually you’ll need to put in a new creative that does it just as well and so just keep testing new creatives and that’s why I recommend focusing on one product at a time it’s one of the major reasons why is that if you focus on one product you can stay on top of it and keep creating new creatives and keep you know keep pushing that product to new highs and so that’s basically the main takeaways here all right everyone so that is it for this video I hope it was helpful and I hope you enjoyed it and if that’s the case please make sure to leave a like and subscribe I would appreciate it and I draw up videos like this one every week and I try to make them as valuable as possible and another thing is if you haven’t yet make sure to join the mastermind group for this channel it’s gonna be the first or second link in the description and that group is extremely active we’re almost I think 13,000 members now extremely active extremely useful and if you haven’t yet and make sure to join that group and on that note I’ll see you guys next time

How to Originate a Dropshipping Product | Fb Adverts Testing Blueprint [Step-by-Step]

hey everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be showing you my exact method on how I test new drop shipping products and how it is that I make almost every single product I test into a winning product that I can scale since I advocate one product stores and a lot of my videos I get a lot of questions asking why it is that I jump right into a one product store when I could just make a general store to test a bunch of different products and then find find the ones that I can scale and so I’m gonna be addressing that question in this video as well as giving you the exact method that I use when I’m launching a new product with Facebook Ads so just to show you that I know what I’m talking about this is one of my stores this is a one product store that I launched using this exact method that I’m going to be showing you in this video and so as you can see it’s done 3.4 K in sales today and if I go back to November which is when I started at end of November you can see that since then in under two months the store has done over 200k in sales so it’s been doing really well and right now it’s flattening out a bit just while I’m getting I’m doing some private labeling for this store and once that’s all done I’m gonna be able to scale it more but right now I’m keeping it at the current level and nonetheless that’s a really good level to be out in sales for dropshipping and so yeah I’m gonna be showing you the exact method that I use to launch this product with Facebook Ads so hopefully you guys find it super helpful so without further ado let’s get right into the content so first off I want to talk a little bit about what the majority of people do and why I think that most people fail using this method so what ninety-five percent of people do is that they’ll make a general store where they can test a bunch of products and so they’ll start testing five or more products weekly sometimes people test like ten products a day created crazy things like that they’ll test as many products as they can and they’ll employ a very simple testing strategy so what they’ll do is they’ll get one video ad made or they’ll just steal a video ad for a competitor and then they’ll do you know ten ad sets five dollars a day single interests engage shoppers whatever a very simple testing strategy that only spends about fifty to a hundred dollars so they’ll let those runs don’t let those ads run for a day or two and then based on the results that’s how they’re gonna determine whether or not that’s a good product and so this is what the majority of people do in dropshipping right now they’re they were focusing on testing as many different products as possible without putting a lot of work into each individual product to see if it could actually work and so the typical result of this strategy is that people will end up twist and testing 20-plus products sometimes up to a hundred I’ve heard people testing over a hundred products with ever finding a single winning product and so they’ll end up wasting thousand dollars or more on facebook ads without getting anywhere and then they’ll get discouraged from drop shipping and probably blame it on saturation and I see this all the time in drop shipping and the main reason why this happens in my opinion is that people aren’t spending enough time enough money enough energy into testing each individual product most of these products that people are testing have the potential to become winning products and do a lot of sales with them but people employ a simple testing strategy with just one ad and so it won’t be profitable right off the bat and they’ll just assume that the product is dead or it’s too saturated and they’ll move on to the next product and this goes on forever they test hundreds of products and maybe they’ll find you know one or two winners out of those hundred products but that’s just not a good ratio of finding winning products and it’s just really not an efficient way to use your time to test products so now just to contrast that here’s what I do instead ever since I’ve started drop shipping two years ago I’ve only tested five products and out of those five products two of them failed two went on to do seven figures in sales and one is doing six figures monthly right now and that’s the one that I showed you at the start of this video so three out of five of the products that I tested were successful and I give me that gives me a success rate of 60% testing products and the reason that I believe my success rate is so high testing new products is that I test fewer products and I put more work in into each product test and that’s what this method is all about it’s all about putting a lot of work into a product that you know is proven to sell and making it work rather than just doing a quick test and hoping that it works so yeah let’s get right into the details so the first part to this strategy is to only test products that you know are selling well and one thing to keep in mind is that problem solving products are the easiest to sell to cold traffic and they have the highest amount of demand and that’s because when you just advertised on social media a product that solves a problem you can quickly identify that problem in the first few seconds of the video and then you offer them the solution and that that works well to get people to buy your product and so problem solving products are the easiest to sell to cold traffic now if you want an in-depth product research guide I actually posted one not too long ago and it’s really in-depth it covers everything you need to know and I would definitely recommend you watch that one before watching this video but yeah that’s the first step only test products that you know are selling and I repeated that here find products that are proven to sell right now and there’s three main methods that you can do in order to find these products that are proven to sell so number one is to analyze the Aliexpress data you want to look at the amount of orders of product as on Aliexpress and now this isn’t always a perfect source of data because a lot of people once they start scaling they won’t be using Aliexpress at all or some people don’t use I’ll Express right off from the start like me I don’t ever use Aliexpress and so you won’t have all the sales data on Aliexpress but it’s still a good place to look and to get some info and what I look at when I’m analyzing Aliexpress data is a ratio of daily to total sales of 3 percent minimum and I’m gonna go in-depth about that in an example in a few minutes now the next thing is that you want to analyze your competitors sales and the way to do this is you obviously can’t just get their sales data but you can go on their ads you can go on their page and then start tracking their ads and see them in the comments if people are saying that they ordered that’s that’s a big big indication that the product is obviously selling right people saying where’s my orders I ordered two weeks ago or saying like oh this product is awesome or this product sucks it came from China whatever all these comments tell you that people actually ordered the product and that the product must be selling and now there’s another trick that you can use is when people use bit ly links in their ads you can actually just add a plus to the end of the URL in order to see how many clicks that link got and if the link is getting a lot of clicks that tells you that you know it’s likely doing really well for that store because they wouldn’t be advertising and getting all those clicks to their stores if they weren’t making sales profitably and so I’m gonna show you an example of that as well once I finish covering these three so just the last one is getting insider insight from Chinese suppliers and that’s what I did for the store that I showed you at the start of the video and now to do this you need to be a bit more established and have connections with suppliers and I’m not going to be going too in depth about that but you have to keep in mind that the guys working in China shipping all these orders they know what products are selling right there they’re shipping it and so if you ask suppliers that do a lot of business you can find suppliers within your niche and ask them they can tell you what products are selling really well right now and sometimes you hear like unheard-of numbers like people do like 50k pieces a day of certain products behind the scenes and that they just don’t use Aliexpress right the big players don’t use alley express and so if you want to get that missing piece of data you need to go straight to the source and talk to the suppliers and ask them what products are selling the best and so these are three ways to make sure that a product is proven to sell so this is a drop shipping ad that I found and I’m going to show you guys how I know that this product is selling well for this store so as you can see they posted this video two weeks ago and they have 1.1 million views which is a good song but that alone doesn’t tell you that the product is selling well it’s really cheap to buy views and just if you do worldwide video views camping you can get a lot of you super cheap I don’t know why they would do that but you can’t base the the success of a product just by the views on the video so another thing you can look at is the engagement I mean they have almost two thousand shares a lot of comments and so this tells me that people are really engaging with this ad and this product and there’s a lot of demand for it now it’s also a problem-solving product which is always a good sign but let’s let’s look a little bit more deep so if we go into the comments we can see that there’s people saying that they received their unit without the battery parts so they ordered and they you know they’re not happy with the product but the point is is that they actually ordered now another one right here this is a scam the one in the video is a professional device and they send you a low-quality version so this doesn’t look like a highest quality product but that’s not the point the point that I’m trying to show you is that you can look at the comments to see if people ordered it or not and so it looks like a few people here have ordered and haven’t received it so if we go to the newest comments maybe we can find more you know so this one this person said they paid 200 for their so I guess they didn’t order from this store but this product is in demand I received no unit that’s the same guy this one’s saying he ordered two and he’s still waiting so you know there’s a lot of people commenting saying that they bought this so that’s a good sign now another thing you can do is check the drop shipping Center stats to look at the daily sales versus the total sales and that’s what I was talking about earlier so this is the product on Aliexpress and it only has 174 orders now what this tells you is that whoever is running this store is probably not doing the fulfillment on Aliexpress because they’re obviously selling more than just 174 orders so that’s what I was saying that Aliexpress data is not always complete people don’t all use Aliexpress so you can’t you can’t just read off a product because it doesn’t have a lot of orders on Aliexpress so what you want to do is you want to look at the yeah the the ratio between the daily sales and the total sales so you want to copy this link and then you want to go to the drop shipping center so you’re a mile Express and then the drop shipping center tab and if you don’t have this on your Aliexpress I’m gonna have a link in the description so that you can unlock it so then you want to go to the product analysis tab paste the URL and as you can see this product is getting for four to five sales a day and then just yesterday it got twenty nine out of nowhere so this product is getting a lot of sales I mean not a lot of sales but a lot of sales relative to its total its total or account so I was saying a ratio of three percent is what you would want in terms of daily sales versus total sales so if we take the average for this product to be this would raise the average so let’s see the average is at about eight eight orders per day for this product on Aliexpress if we go back to the product page that’s eight orders out of one hundred seventy four times one hundred so that’s four point six percent so I say that the minimum is usually around three percent and this one has four point six percent so that’s a good slang it tells you that this product is on an uptrend it’s starting to sell well now one more trick that I talked about that you can do to see how your competitor is doing with a certain product is the bit lie plus trick so these guys are using a bit lie link further ad and so if we copy this bit line link we can see how many clicks they’re actually getting so you just need to paste that and then plus and so we can see that since since December 29th they’ve gotten sixty thousand clicks to their store so this ad is obviously pulling in a lot of traffic and if they’re doing decently well they could be making five to fifteen K a day with that amount of clicks and that obviously depends on the amount on the quality of the traffic and I have no idea but this is a lot of clicks is basically what I’m trying to say and you can see that they’ve been scaling it right they wouldn’t be scaling this if it was unprofitable and so that’s a good sign that tells you that this product is getting a lot of clicks and is probably selling really well so now the second part of the strategy this is where most people get discouraged and this is where you have to put in extra effort for each product you test so you have to build a branded store around the product either one product brand or a niche store something that you know makes sense you don’t want to just have a general store like everyone else you need to differentiate yourself and make a brand around that product so if it’s a product that’s you just a unique product and by itself you can build a whole store around it then that would be a perfect product very one product store if it’s a certain category of product you could focus on that product but also add a few related products just so that your store looks more legit but you want to put in a lot of work to make sure that everything looks nice everything looks clean and so that you can get good conversion rates once you start actually pushing traffic to your store so that includes like I said building a branded store around the product creating the social media pages for the brand buying a domain name so not just a general domain name like trendy shop it needs to be you know the same name as your brand and all these things actually make a big difference whether you believe it or not all these little details compound to a big difference in these sales and so this is something that you need to do and need to have in place once you’re getting ready to launch your product so now the third part of the strategy so at this point you already have a product that you found that you’re gonna be focusing on and you’ve already built your store your social media pages and everything and you’re getting ready to advertise so the first thing that you want to start testing when you start running ads is the ad itself so you want to test at least three ad variations and this is a this is a step that I see so many people skip and it’s one of the most important steps right because if you’re going to scale a product you need to have the absolute best creative and that means that you need to have the right ad not all ads are gonna perform well in Facebook’s eyes and if you if you have the right ad it’s gonna be a lot easier to scale it versus just the first ad that you threw at Facebook and you you really try to force that one to work so it’s really important to test as many ad variations as possible right off the bat and I recommend testing at least three and so yeah like I was saying it’s impossible to judge this sucks the success of a product with just one ad so the first thing I recommend testing is the leading 3 seconds of your video ad and this is pretty easy to do so all you need to do is make one main video ad and then make 3 different variations with different leading clips so maybe the first 3 seconds the first 3 to 4 seconds of your video you want to change that up and see which one would perform better and this is the most important part of your video ad because this is when people are just scrolling through their feed they’re gonna watch whatever video pops up for a second or two and then decide whether or not they want to watch it so testing that first 3 seconds is really important and that’s one of the first things you want to do so you find a good creative to build your campaign with so yeah really important part of this strategy and I split test these ads with PPE to get as much as data as possible and also social proof so I literally just run a worldwide PP campaign and I’ll have each ad in an individual ad set and then each ad set I’ll usually do ten to twenty dollars a day because you don’t need to spend a lot with PP to start getting a lot of data and right off the bat you’re gonna be able to see which one is getting a lower cost per engagement which one is getting more actions taking on the website so which one’s driving people to your site which one’s making people Add to Cart and based on all those metrics you can start to decide which ad is performing the best and usually there’s going to be a clear winner so this is a really important step and you definitely don’t want to skip this so now the fourth part of the strategy is that once you find a creative that is performing well the next step is to figure out the demographics that you want to be targeting so like I said here you want to start figuring out the demographic targeting first and then start narrowing down and this is why my testing method burns a little bit more cash than most people is that I spent a lot of money testing really broad audiences to figure out the right demographic and then I start narrowing down and then I start scaling what works so by demographic I mean the age range the gender and the location for some products the gender is going to be really obvious and so if that’s the case you don’t need to start on split testing gender you can go right into targeting only the gender that you’re targeting but yeah you want to figure out the age range the gender and the location and by location I mean countries you want to figure out which countries are buying your product which ones aren’t responding as well to it so to do this you want to target broad so 13 to 65 plus all the e packet countries or whatever countries you can ship to so if you’re not drop shipping from China you know whatever countries you can ship to most for most people though these are the e packet countries and so that’s what I usually do I’ll target broad 13 to 65 plus e packet countries and I’ll literally just target that and that’ll give me a really broad audience and sometimes it’ll start sometimes those audiences will even perform well and you can get a few sales but the main goal is that you can once you start spending a decent amount on those ads so usually I spend 50 to 100 dollars and then I can break it down to analyze the data and I can see what age range what gender and what countries are purchasing my Prada and this is essential information that you’re gonna build your whole campaign on and this is a part that a lot of people skip and do later on and so if you do that right away you can start by focusing on those demographics that you know are working well so this is really important so now the fifth part of the strategy is once you’ve figured out the demographic targeting you want to use that demographic plus single interest to start narrowing down so if you found out in the in part four that your main audience is let’s say 13 to 24 women in the US and the UK you would focus only on that demographic and then start testing single interest to narrow down your audiences so you would test as many different interests as possible and I talked about in my Facebook ads video my ultimate Facebook Ads guide I talked about how you can do some research to find some interest to target and you want to test as many different angles as possible and narrow down by that demographic that you found and this usually works really well and then you can start finding some profitable interests and start focusing on those and that’s the part five of this strategy now the last step to this product launch strategy is to start utilizing look-alike audiences as soon as possible so as soon as you have enough data for any look-alike audience you want to test it look like audiences are Facebook’s way of finding the best people to target for you so it basically builds a profile of demographic plus interest and then it creates an audience based on that of the people who are most similar to a source audience and so this is very effective there’s no reason why you wouldn’t want to be utilizing this this is basically Facebook analyzing your data for you and then finding more people that you can target so as soon as you have enough data to start using look-alike audiences you want to do that and I recommend having at least 500 people in the source custom audience before building a look-alike audience and once you’re testing look-alike audiences you only want to start by testing look like audiences for the countries you identified as profitable so the last example I gave was like 13 to 24 women in the US and the UK you would want to only build look-alike audiences for the US and the UK and you wouldn’t need to narrow down by that demographic anymore because Facebook is gonna do that for you automatically when they build that look-alike audience they’re gonna find the people who are most likely to most similar to your source custom audience so you don’t really need to narrow down your look-alike audiences when I test look-alike audiences I just used to look like Audie with no detailed targeting so the first look-alike audience is that you can usually test is gonna be the 95% video viewers since that’s the easiest to get data from and if with just your PPE campaign to split test the ads usually right off the bat that will give you enough data to build a 95% viewers video 95% video viewers look like audience and you can test that right away and all of these look-alike audiences all the interest targeting that I was talking in step in step 5 these are all done with purchase optimization you always want to optimize for purchase at this stage because Facebook is gonna give you the highest quality traffic that’s most likely to purchase so yeah the first looked like audience to test is usually the 95 percent video viewers and then once you start getting enough data for other look-alike audiences you can start testing VC at the cart purchase and you know so on those take a little bit longer to get enough data right to test the purchased look-alike audience I’d recommend that you have at least 500 sales and so that’s something that you can do later on but you want to gradually move into these look-alike audiences as soon as you have enough data so that is it for this product testing strategy and this is the exact strategy that I used for the store that I showed you at the start of the video and now I just wanted to quickly take you into my ads manager just to show you the progression of the ad spend when you’re using a strategy like this because the whole idea is that you’re gonna be spending money at the start to buy data and to figure out what works without getting much of a return on your ad spend and then it’s gradually gonna get better as you start figuring out what works so this is my ads manager right now and as you can see this is today’s stats 1.88 row Oz and for the store the break-even Rose is at about 1.3 1.4 and so with this kind of robots I’m making twenty to twenty five percent profit and if I get to about a 2.0 row as that’s what I’m making you know thirty percent profit so it’s you know this is this has been pretty profitable so far but I want to show you the ads been over time so if I go to the first month which was November you can see how much I spent so this is without any filters anything this is just the the raw data and as you can see this was the first month and I spent $1,700 only to make 2000 back so the break-even this was below the break-even rose and I was losing money but buying data for this product and so this right here just just to show you this this is enough to discourage most people right if you know one would this much I mean not no one but most people would not consider spending this much on a single product in order to make it successful but I knew that this product was selling well and I knew that it was that it had the potential to work I just need to figure out the targeting and so this is a good barrier to entry for me right because not many people are gonna be selling the same product as me because not many people are willing to spend this much to figure out the right targeting so this is the first month I spent 1,700 got 2,000 back now if I go to the month after that of December this is when I actually started figuring out what works and I started using look like audiences and all of that and as you can see that month did a lot better I spent 100 5k and $200,000 in sales so at this with this row I was one point nine one it was very profitable probably 25% profit and I was able to scale it and now if we go to this month we can see what the Rose is right now up right now it’s only the ninth so it’s uncomplete data but you can see this month the row has got even better so it’s one point nine nine at which point I’m making about 30% profit and yeah so you guys get the point it just gets gradually better once you start figuring out what works and so I hope that clears some things up about my product testing strategy before I in this video I want to quickly go over the pros and cons of this strategy so the pros is that you avoid wasting time testing dozens of products and you can really focus all your energy into dominating one product so making new ads testing new interest really figuring out figuring out what works for one product and then dominating that market and another Pro is that it’s a lot easier to build a brand in the long run with this strategy because you’re gonna have all the data in place for the product you’re gonna have you know one product brand ready to go and so all you really need to do is just you know brand it better so offer better shipping maybe private label the products whatever you want to do but it’s a lot easier to build a brand in the long run than if you’re just you know testing products on a general store now the cons is that you need to spend a lot of money buying data without getting a return at the start and that’s what I showed you with the ad manager breakdown I spent about $1700 without getting a return at the start I needed to keep in mind that my ads manager is in Canadian dollars so I spent a little less than $1,700 but in US dollars but it was still a hefty amount to start out with and I understand that most people don’t have that kind of starting budget and so that’s the second con is that you need a big starting budget and if you don’t have a starting budget big enough to do something like this what I would recommend is that you look into Instagram influencers and I have a video about this on my channel it’s called easiest way to start drop shipping from scratch and I cover the strategy that I would use if I were to start with only two hundred dollars in start-up capital so if that applies to you I definitely recommend you watch that video alright everyone so that is it for this video I really hope you enjoyed it and I hope it cleared some questions up about how I test my products and why I choose to go straight in to one product stores if the video helped please make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you haven’t yet I post videos every week and if you haven’t yet also make sure to join the econ mastermind group first link or second Dropshipping Profitably in 2019 | Predominant Approach Changes

hey everyone here Braille here and in this video I’m gonna be talking about my point of view on how dropshipping is changing and how you need to adapt your strategy in order to be successful in 2019 as a lot of you know this space changes really quickly and so some of the strategies that we’re working well in 2017 and 2018 are quickly becoming outdated and so in order to be successful and to stay consistent you need to constantly adapt and that’s what I’m gonna be focusing on in this video I’m gonna be talking about the main strategy changes that I think you should implement in order to be successful in 2019 so without further ado let’s get right into the content so first off I want to talk about niching down I think that it’s becoming increasingly important for people to move towards a one product store strategy or a niche store strategy in order to differentiate yourself from the massive sellers who are just working on general stores now the reason being is that general stores aren’t converting as well due to the number of people that have had bad experiences with similar stores in 2017 and 2018 so if you weren’t aware drop shipping as a business model has been on a massive up trend since 2016 2017 and a lot of people have been getting into it and making general stores and the thing is is that people are starting to recognize the patterns of what a dropshipping store looks like and so many people have had terrible experiences with these stores like you know people don’t like waiting more than like a week to get their products so people aren’t going to reorder if they know that it’s a dropshipping store and people are starting to get smarter and to start recognizing these stores so you really need to move away from the image of just being a general dropshipping store what you want to do is that is focus in on a niche or a product and build a brand around it and focus on the design that’s what I put here you want to also place an increased focus on the stores design to avoid being perceived as just another dropshipping store and this is really important and I want to show you a few things to convey my point better so this is the first thing I want to show you this is Google Trends for dropshipping and this is 2004 to present so as you can see dropshipping has been around for a while but if you look if we get to about December 2015 it really won the uptrend started over here and since since 2017 2017 is when it really went parabolic so as you can see dropshipping since January 2017 is now three times bigger in size according to Google Trends and now this obviously just search interest but you have to keep in mind that these are people this is the amount of people searching about drop shipping everyday so three times three times more people are searching about drop shipping than they were to one or two years ago right so you’re looking at a massive increase in the amount of drop shippers and in competition in the amount of general stores and the amount of awareness for drop shipping in general so that’s why I’m saying that it’s important to move away and differentiate yourself from the rest of sellers who are all just doing general stores and you might think that a lot of people are already doing the one product store strategy or the niche store strategy especially since I’ve been preaching it in all of my videos but I’ve been asking people for feedback and most people are still stuck with the idea that they need to do a general store to test a bunch of products first and so there’s actually not that many people who are doing these one product stores and I think that it’s gonna be one of the biggest shifts that’s gonna happen in 2019 I think more and more people are gonna be switching to one product stores or niche stores because they just work better at the moment the thing I want to show you is a comparison of a general store versus a one product store selling the same product to show you how much more compelling the one product store is so this is a general store here they’re selling these indestructible shoes which was a winning product for a while and think it’s still still selling pretty well and yeah so this is a pretty good general store it’s better than average I would say but the first thing that happens is when one customers see all these categories all these unrelated products the first thing they usually do is they’ll check Amazon or Ebay and they’ll just price check because you know if it’s a general store people understand that there’s nothing special that you’re offering right there’s nothing unique and a big company like Amazon is probably going to be able to offer better prices versus if you have a brand that’s people don’t think like that people are like oh I like I like this brand I want to see what products they have but if you have just a general store with all these unrelated products categories and everything people are likely gonna check eBay or Amazon to price check so that’s the first error that happens with general stores now the second thing is that all all general stores kind of have like same patterns and like I explained before people that have had bad experiences with general stores in the past are not gonna order again because they’re gonna recognize these patterns so some of these patterns for example this 43 sold in the last hour it’s super common on Jan stores all this stuff right here that’s not that bad this is pretty nice quantity brakes I like quantity brakes but even quantity brakes are starting to be kind of a pattern that people are recognizing right like you don’t see quantity brakes on real ecommerce brand stores only on drop shipping stores you see quantity brakes now I mean obviously sometimes like big brands will do deals right like buy two get one free but this exact layout of just like buy to 8% off by three 12% off that’s kind of something that people are getting used to seeing on these drop shipping stores now another thing is to count down the trust badges you’ll never see trust badges on like a proper brand they don’t need trust badges and so that’s another giveaway for people and trust badges again here this guarantee here it’s a good guarantee but literally every store has this guarantee now like this is copied from blue crate and every store has it so people are gonna start recognizing that and so you guys get my point I mean like people are just able to recognize the patterns and they’re they pick up that it’s another store shipping from China and they’re gonna be less inclined to purchase the product now in comparison this is a one product store selling the same product and you can see how much more compelling it is so this brand is called indestructible and it’s indestructible shoes.com and all they carry is a bunch of variants of this indestructible shoe and this one is actually the exact same one you can compare the two pictures it’s the exact same shoe so these guys are probably drop shipping and it says right here due to high demand the delivery time will be three to five weeks so they’re probably shipping from China right but since they have this custom website they have this nice brand they can get away with it so look how clean this website looks like they have a clear color scheme they have black and red you know they have all the proper sizing laid out you know they have these these newspaper mentions you know they have custom info graphic images showing what the product is shock absorption lifestyle photos you know and it just looks really clean and they’ve got this brand indestructible so you clearly know this is this store makes indestructible shoes so you kind of think that this would be you would think that this is the brand that invented these shoes right and even though that’s probably not the case they’re probably just drop shipping so you know they’re selling all these different stores all these different indestructible shoes and I’m sure you could find all of these Aliexpress or on Alibaba and just drop ship them right from China and they built a whole brand around this winning product so they found that indestructible shoes were selling while it was a proven product so they invested a lot into making this clean website and it paid off and to prove to you that it actually paid off I can show you there this is the inter facebook page and this is the only ad that they’re running right now but if we copy the video url and we check out their ad you can see that it has a lot of views it has 14 point four million views in and this was about about a month ago so you can see I mean sorry about that it says I really need these indestructible shoes so they put their own brand in the the ad and you know this is this is just a job shipping on but the fact that they’ve got this whole brand going they were able to really push it and you know it says it has fourteen point four million views so you guys can imagine how much sales they did with that like they probably did crazy numbers and even on their product page it literally says like it literally says three to five weeks shipping so they’re not even being dishonest about their business model like they’re just not they’re obviously not gonna say we’re dropshippers but you know it says due to high demand the delivery time will be three to five weeks so people don’t have unrealistic expectations and people are still willing to order because it looks like the original maker of this product and people don’t feel like they’re getting scammed now the next point I want to talk about is focusing more on branding and this is kind of a continuation of the first point that I was making but I think this is also important to cover by itself so first of all this is easier to do when you have a one a one product store or a set of products on your store only in a well-defined niche so for example that indestructible shoes website we just looked at a great example and you can do great branding with that or you know there’s a ton of brands like high smile for example high smile they have one main product which is their teeth whitening kit and they can build a massive brand around that which is actually the biggest teeth whitening company in the world or like you know like Fit T they just have one product and they can build a brand around it so when you have just one product or one set of well one set of products in a well-defined niche you can you can really brand that well and so you want to transition to private labeling as soon as possible and I understand that not everyone has the funds to do that but if you start off with a one product store and it starts doing well you can rien your profits into making into a product label brand and that has the potential to pay off massively now another thing is you want to use lifestyle imagery for your products and sell a lifestyle with your product now this is something that’s gonna you know once again differentiate yourself from other job shapers even if you’re selling products that aren’t private labeled if you have pictures in a lifestyle context to use a lifestyle to sell your products it’s gonna do a lot better than people just have normal white background photos on their stores just imported from Aliexpress right so having a lifestyle imagery for your products and also for social media right you want to have a lot of lifestyle imagery on your social media pages and that’s gonna help you sell a lot more and one thing that people don’t understand is that people will browse your social media pages before making a purchase from your site so everything matters it’s not just the product page your your social media pages if they have a lot of lifestyle imagery a lot of good content people are way more inclined to actually buy a product and so that’s another big shift that’s happening as people becoming more and more skeptical of these these stores shipping from China with products not arriving people are putting in a little bit more research before ordering a product so your social media pages should have some lifestyle content and you know that that will make a big difference another thing is you can also use micro influencers to generate content so this goes with this point here the lifestyle imagery the best way to do it is with micro influencers and if you don’t know what micro influencers is then basically what micro influencers are the basically influencers that have less than fifty to a hundred thousand followers so basically smaller influencers on the smaller end and those influencers usually they don’t charge much for promotions and if you have a good product there they might be even willing to to post about your product or make content with your product in exchange for the product right so you can either ask them hey I’ll send you this product and can you post about it on your feed or you can say hey I’ll send you this product and in exchange all I want is some some photos with you using the product you don’t even have to post it on your feed I just want the content this is a great way to get some content for your brand and it’s it’s a low-cost way to do it all you have to do is ship the product from China and organize this this whole exchange now another thing you want to do to focus more on branding is you want to strive to offer faster shipping times and better customer service and this again is becoming increasingly important more and more people will send a message to your Facebook page before during their be like hey whatwhat’s the where you’re shipping from what’s what are your shipping times and so if you have all if you have good customer service and good shipping times in place you’re gonna get a lot more orders and this actually makes a massive difference people underestimate how important this is and so having good customer service and striving to offer better shipping times is gonna make a massive difference now an example of focusing on branding is hi smile obviously and I mentioned that at the start but I want to go on their page just to show you how how effectively they’re doing this so this is hi smiles Facebook page and the first thing you notice is all the social proof here they have so many different people using their products 1 million-plus satisfied customers so that obviously plays a big part and then if you scroll down I mean this video has 70 million views just that’s just insane and then if you keep scrolling you can see all the content that they post every day so this was nine hours ago 22 hours yesterday December 17th December 17th 16th so every day they’re posting multiple pieces of original video content and so what this does is that it keeps their it keeps their following engaged it makes them seem like a real brand and most importantly all this this content they can use it in ads so this is great I mean they’re generating content consistently and they’re building a real brand and the crazy part is that this product isn’t even that good like it’s just a teeth whitening kit there’s a ton of competitors selling the same thing you can get it on Aliexpress on on Alibaba nothing crazy about this product but the the reason they’re doing so well is their branding and the amount of content they put out and the amount of influencer marketing that they do so this is a great example of how you can build a brand around one product even though your product doesn’t have really anything special versus the other options available in the market what they have is they have great branding and this allows them to sell a lot more and another thing you’ll see is in the comments they engage with with everyone right so they have people actively engaging and that’s what I was saying about good customer service like this if they do this every time overall it adds up right like if every comment that they put helps convert one more sale this adds up and it doesn’t cost them a lot to hire more customer service reps so all these little things and this this is what make this is what separates you know a regular store from a proper brand that does hundreds of millions of dollars in sales so the last thing I want to talk about is multi-channel advertising a lot of people at the moment are focusing only on one ad platform and usually that ad platform is Facebook and the problem with this is that when you have all your eggs in one basket you know you’re really if you can really be affected by external factors so for example Facebook recently published an update that made users spend a lot less time on Facebook and the result was a lot less ad space and that didn’t make the amount of advertisers go down so naturally the cost of ads went up and this can happen all the time and if you look at the trend over time I mean the odd costs are just going up like there’s more and more advertisers every day and ad space is going down so you can naturally you know the cost go up and this could happen with any other app platform like most ad platforms have rising costs but Facebook costs are through the roof and the thing is is that you don’t want to stop using Facebook Facebook is still an amazing platform and it’s still under priced if you use it correctly but you can get a lot better margins if you implement multi-channel advertising and what I mean by that is that you can for example I have two examples here so the first one would be you could reach someone initially on Facebook and then you could retarget them with a YouTube pre-roll ad and this is something that I’m seeing a lot more lately so like for example if you see an ad for like a watch that you like and you click on it you visit their website but you you don’t you decide not to go on it instead of just spending a ton of money trying to retarget you on Facebook where you know it’s gonna be an arrow retargeting audience and there’s a lot of people bidding towards you you could just instead test YouTube and clear all ads so next time I go on YouTube to watch a video I’m gonna have a video of that same watch and you know maybe I’ll decide to buy it so that’s one thing you can do another thing is you could reach someone through Instagram influencers so you could do a big influencer marketing campaigns and not spend any money on cold traffic whatsoever on Facebook but then have a funnel for your Instagram engagement on Facebook ads where your retargeting people who have visited your page engage with your posts and you can have a different funnel based on how long ago they were on your page and everything so yeah you can build you can build these multi-channel funnels and not rely only on one platform to get your traffic alright everybody so that is pretty much it on this video about the strategy changes that I think you need to implement in order to be successful with dropshipping in 2019 I hope you enjoyed it if you haven’t yet make sure to subscribe and leave a comment below telling me what you want to see next I would really appreciate that and also make sure to join the Facebook group that’s the second link in the description we’re out like 6,000 members now and it’s growing really fast so make sure to join that super helpful group and on that note I’ll see you guys next time

Last Product Learn Manual for 2019 | Tips on how to Procure Hot Dropshipping Products

everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be showing you everything you need to know about finding hot drop shipping products to sell ever since I’ve started drop shipping I found multiple six and seven-figure products and in this video I’m gonna be compiling everything that I’ve learned in terms of what a winning product looks like and how you can find them I’m gonna be showing you five different methods in total so let’s not waste any more time and let’s get right into the content first off I want to give you a quick breakdown of what a winning product looks like based on my experience so I broke it down into four main factors number one is high demand in order for a product to be scalable and to sell well it needs to be in high demand and there’s different ways to ensure that a product is in high demand but the way that I do it and the way that I recommend you do it as well is to pick only problem-solving products and the reason is that problem-solving products are always going to be in demand as long as there is people who have that problem and a good example of that is weight loss weight loss products are always in high demand because there’s always people who are trying to lose weight and so that’s why weight loss is one of the biggest biggest markets for e-commerce right because there’s always people who are trying to lose weight so by picking problem solving products you’re ensuring that there’s always going to be demand for your product and that’s what I recommend you do now another main factor is low availability now as dropshippers this is really important you don’t want to sell products that are easily found in stores because if people know that they can get your product from a more reliable source in their eyes for example Walmart or Amazon they’re gonna go and get it from there so you need your product to not be easily found in stores now pretty much every product is gonna be on Amazon so you don’t want to let that like scare you away from a product but if your product is available in literally like every Walmart that’s that’s a bad sign you don’t want your product to be easily available in stores so new products work really well products that you know people haven’t seen before and they’re just starting to get listed on Amazon but they’re still not available in retail stores like brick-and-mortar stores and people haven’t really seen it before so when they see your ad they’re not gonna think instantly mmm this this makes like I want this product but I’m gonna go see if I can get it from eBay or Amazon they’re just gonna think what’s what’s this new product I need to check out this link and so it’s a very subtle difference but it’s very important for dropshipping now another point that I put here is Wow actor in order for your product to be scalable on social media needs to have a WOW factor because ad space is very limited on social media relative to the number of advertisers and so your your ad for the product needs to be very attention grabbing and impressive and so having a WOW factor for your product is gonna make that how now the last thing I put here is good profit margins this is also really important if your product is too expensive to start off with and you can only sell it for like fifty percent more than the actual purchasing price that you have to pay you’re not gonna have good profit margins and it’s going to be hard to be profitable when you include ad costs and all the other expenses so a good rule of thumb is to price your products at least 3 X of the product cost and now if you can’t do that because the product is already too expensive to start off with and people won’t buy it at that price then you should maybe look for a different product because you want to have good profit margins and in general you need at least a 3x on the product cost so I want to show you a quick example of a winning product so you can see these four factors applied in practice so this makeup bag was a winning product it did really well for a lot of people and I’m gonna play the video right now for you just so you can see what it is so basically it’s it’s a makeup bag that’s really easy to you know open wide and you can see all the makeup all at once and then you can just close it back up by pulling a string and so this solves a problem that a lot of girls have which is you know they have a hard time finding the like a specific item in their makeup bag they have to pull out everything and just define one little thing so it takes a lot of time it makes a mess this offers a convenient solution where you just open it all up at once you can see it all at once and then you just pull the string to close it back up and so this solves a problem which is why the product was in high demand and then it also started trending you know which also helps with the demand you know if the product starts trending there’s going to be a lot of word-of-mouth and a lot of people who’ve heard about it and so when they see an ad they’re gonna want to buy it so this product was definitely in high demand now in terms of low availability this was also the case for this product it was a new product and so you couldn’t get it anywhere in stores and you had to buy it online so that was a big factor as well which made this a winning product now the other factor is wow factor and if you look at this ad I mean there is definitely some wow factor here it shows you a really impressive solution to a problem that a lot of these girls have and so they would be able to relate and it’s an impressive solution so when you watch this you’d be like wow I I really want this product so that definitely helped as well and now the last factor that I talked about is having good margins so if you look at this store that’s selling this product from this ad they’re selling it for $25 and if we go on Aliexpress you can see that it’s only three dollars so they have great margins and I was saying the I was talking about the 3x rule so all you really need is to 3x the price of the product so they could have sold this for $9 even but you know this one has the perceived value of being worth more than nine dollars and they can solid for $25 and have really good margins so they’re doing you know they definitely have that factor in place having good margins and that helps this product being a scaleable winning product because it doesn’t cost a lot you can sell it for a lot and so you have a lot of money left over to advertise so now let’s jump in into the actual product research methods so the first method is a Facebook method that involves tailoring your Facebook feeds so that you’re shown more dropshipping ads regularly and so there’s two main ways that you want to do this and you want to do both so that you have the best results and you’re shown as many ads as possible so the first one is that you want to become an engaged shopper engaged shopper is a behavior on Facebook that a lot of dropshippers target and so you want to become an engaged shopper in order to be shown more ads and the way to do that is to click the shop now’ button and you can also like and save ads that you see because that will encourage the Facebook algorithm to show you more ads like that now the other way is that you also want to become high quality traffic in Facebook size so that you get shown the best ads not only you don’t get only shown ads you want to be shown the best ads that are getting a lot of purchases and the way to do this is to fire the purchase pixel event on a on a website and so this is kind of unethical but a lot of people are doing it right now and so I thought it would only be fair that I share with my subscribers as well but you know you can decide whether or not you want to do this but I’ll show you how to do this as well and when you do both of those things you’re gonna get a lot of ads shown on your feet so I’m gonna hop on my facebook right now I’m gonna show you what I mean so for this method the first thing you want to do is download these two chrome extensions the first one is turbo ad finder and what this extension allows you to do is hide everything that’s not an ad on your newsfeed just so you can find ads faster now the other one is the Facebook pixel helper and this is the extension that’s gonna allow us to set off the purchase event on a website so that were shown more ads on our newsfeed so once you’ve got these two extensions we can move on to the next step so what I’ve done here is I’ve just turned on the turbo ad finder and I don’t think you can see this I think the cameras gonna be blocking it but you just click the top right in your browser there’s gonna be a little Facebook icon and then you toggle it on and then now it’s only going to show you ads so now what you want to do is you want to scroll until you see a drop shipping ad so this this does look like a drop shipping on I’m gonna keep looking until I find one that’s for sure drop shipping out so you’re gonna see I mean this is all Birds this is a proper ecommerce brand so not drop shipping this this is probably drop shipping but I’m gonna try to find a better one so this one right here this is definitely trend deploy Organon Makdessi will provide the most comfortable experience so this is a drop shipping ad so the first thing you want to do is you wanna you want to hit save so you want to go to the three dots save the ad and then you want to like it and this is gonna tell the algorithm I like that this type of post show me more now click the shop now’ button this is gonna make you an engaged shopper and so now what you want to actually do this you want to go through the entire funnel and then set off the purchase pixel event so that facebook thinks you bought this product and then they’re gonna think that you’re you know high-quality traffic that buys a lot of products and they’re going to show you more high quality ads so this is what i’m gonna show you how to do right now so you want to click Add to Cart and then view Cart you just go all the way through the funnel so then where’s the checkout button this is a weird no there you go this is a weird layout but I’m just gonna roll with it and then once you get to the checkout page what you want to do is you want to click your Facebook pixel helper here and then you want to go to the initiate checkout one and even if there’s a warning here that doesn’t matter and then what you want to do is you want to copy this content idea right here and then this script is gonna be in the description so you want to go to the description I’m gonna have this script there and you’re gonna be able to copy that and what you want to do is you want to replace the Content ID with the one you just copied and then you also want to replace the value so in this case $49.99 so you’re gonna want to replace that with the value here and then you copy this whole script and you want to go back to the checkout press inspect go to the console and then paste that here and that just like that that set off the Facebook pixel and now Facebook thinks that you bought this product and just to show you that this is actually working you can go back to the pixel helper as you can see now we have the purchase event here this is the refreshed feed and now you can see I’m gonna get a lot more ads so this is a toilet light so this is probably a drop shipping store it doesn’t have that many views but still these are all product ideas five-star create get a relaxing massage this is a heated massager this is a pretty cool product this you know this is a cool a cool sweater so these are all good product ideas this is a camera made for hunters and like this is so easy right I can just keep scrolling through my feet and finding more more ads a remote control snake and the thing you have to understand about this method is that now you’re in facebook eyes you’re a purchaser and so people who are advertising to you are all optimizing for purchase right now and when you optimize for purchase on Facebook that’s when it costs the most in terms of you know ad costs and so all these ads that you’re seeing are people that are spending a lot on advertising in order to reach you and so if you naturally people who spend a lot on ads need to be making a lot back in order for it to be profitable for them no one’s going to keep your any ads if they’re losing money so the idea is that most of these ads are ads for products that are making them money now this could also just be people testing out products and they’re just gonna stop running it eventually but if you do this you know continuously and you keep seeing the same the same ads then that tells you that that product is making this person money so that’s that’s the overview of this Facebook search method and it works really well and now you’re also gonna get proper ecommerce bans not only drop shipping stores for example Mac Weldon this is a proper ecommerce brand and they’re out is popping up because you know now in facebook guys like I explained I’m high quality traffic so obviously I’m gonna get some of the bigger media buyers as well not only drop shipping ads but you get a lot of drop shipping ads as well so you know this another one a dog ad so I guess you guys get the point and it takes a little bit of time with turbo how to find her to load because it needs to go through a bunch of posts until I can find another ad so this is just like a t-shirt some sort of pillow for side sleepers but you guys get the point like I can just keep scrolling forever and get an infinite amount of product ideas so this is a really good product research method now I want to quickly show you how you can take this product research to the next level so I kept scrolling a little bit with my turbo I’d finder on and I found this ad here that had a lot of use a lot of comments a lot of shares and so this looks like a good product for sure it looks like a good store so if you look at the ad it’s you know it’s basically a cream that helps you get rid of wrinkles so this is a really good product for sure it solves a problem it meets all of the criteria that we discussed at the start but what I’ll show you is that once you find a good store like this what you can do is you can just go to their page and start looking at their other ads so I clicked on their page and I’m gonna go to the info and odds section just to see if they have any other products that they are pushing and doing well with so this is the odd that we saw the the essence for making wrinkles disappear and so this is a different product first so this is a device that removes wrinkles so it’s the same niche but I think yeah it’s a different product so you know this one might be doing well as well so what you can do is you can right click and then show the video or URL copy that and then go check it out see see what it looks like so let’s take a look so this one has 82 thousand views in three weeks so this one doesn’t look like it did as well for them so you know you could decide whether or not you want to test this but this is another product idea that you could look into and you can keep going so this is another different product this device makes your hair longer thicker and healthier at the same time so I don’t really know what this is but you know this looks like another problem solving products so this store definitely understands what a winning product looks like and it’s the four factors that I explained at the start of the video and so we can check out this video once again and see how this one’s doing and you can just keep doing this over and over again and when you when you do this method of scrolling through your feet to find ads and then every time you find a good ad check the info not section you’re gonna find so many products you’re gonna be overwhelmed so yeah this one two months ago 800,000 views so it did pretty well for them and yeah so this is done another idea that you could potentially take this idea and build a one product store around this product so yeah that’s pretty much how this product research method goes the first one with Facebook so now I’m quickly gonna talk about another Facebook product research method and this one is a little bit more common so I’m sure that a lot of you have seen this already but this is just Facebook search so how this works is you basically just search keywords that often appear in dropshipping captions so for example like 50% off or get it here or by now you search those keywords in Facebook and then you look for posts in the last month in the last two months and you can find job shipping ads that way and so I’m gonna quickly show you an example of that so I’m back on Facebook and now what you want to do is you just want to go to the search bar and type in one of those search keywords and I’m gonna have a list of the keywords that you can search on Facebook in the description so it’s gonna be the first link and you can just copy a bunch of those keywords so one of them is 50% off today so you just search that on Facebook so it’s taken a little bit of time to load here there we go and then you want to go to this videos tab and so this is already pretty good you’re gonna find a lot of ads right here so for example this magic wireless charging pad this has been a product that I’ve been seeing a lot so it’s obviously selling well right here another one this this um this ponytail beanie so this is another good product that you could sell but what you want to do is you want to filter the results by the date posted because you want to find recent winning products you want to find products that were you know popping off like a year ago you want to find recent products and so what you can do is you can just go to choose date and select the month that you’re in right now so right now for me it’s December 2018 so I’m gonna select that and I’m gonna find um you know popular videos from this month so I look for ads that have at least 500,000 views and right now I’m not seeing any so what I would do is I would actually just go a month back so I would go ads posted in November 2018 and hopefully we can find some here and there we go so this one right here 50% off today only and this let’s see what this is so this is a wardrobe I’m travel with your wardrobe so let’s see what this is it’s basically a travel bag that has okay so that’s pretty cool actually it’s like you can travel with your whole wardrobe so yeah that’s that’s a really cool product so you know you could you could test this product and see see if it works well for you and then you can do the same thing that I showed you with the other Facebook method you can click on this page now and see if these guys are running any more ads so now we can go to info and ads and then let’s see what else they’re running so this is another product they’re running um I don’t really know what this is let’s check it out so I still don’t know what this is okay so it’s still like keep your keep your everything together like when you get older I guess so this is for like older ladies who want to just keep everything tight so that’s a that’s a cool product again it solves a big problem like just showing this in a nod you’re gonna that solves a problem for sure and a lot of people are probably gonna want to buy this so then you can do the same thing show the video URL copy that and check out the stats see how it’s doing my internet is super slow here I’m sorry about that but so 17 hours ago 132 thousand views so this is probably a really good product and it’s getting a lot of shares 137 comments in 17 hours so like this is probably actually your winning product that you could hop on right now start pushing it and do big numbers with it so that’s it for Facebook search methods and I want to talk a little bit about Aliexpress product research and there’s a few ways to go about product research on Aliexpress but I’m gonna give you a quick overview of how I like to do it and then I’m gonna jump in and show you in real time so what I like to do is to pick a category and sort by the number of orders and then see what the best selling products in that category are and you can also do a similar thing by searching a keyword and sorting by the number of orders and then once you start searching a bit on Aliexpress this way you can actually complement this by going on the drop shipping Center and if you don’t know what that is I’m going to show you in a second but the drop shipping Center is gonna allow you to expand your search by recommending you ha drop shipping products to sell right now and it’s also gonna give you access to in-depth product insights where you can learn more about how a product has been selling in the last last few days right versus just seeing the total number of orders on Aliexpress you can actually get an in-depth graph of how the product has been selling over time so let’s jump into Aliexpress so I’m on Aliexpress now and what you want to do first is you want to select the category that you want to start researching into so one category that I personally like is Beauty so what you want to do is you want to go to the Beauty category and then pick one of these subcategories so for example you could pick skincare you can pick healthcare I’m just gonna go with health care and then once you’re here you want to sort by the number of orders and then this is going to give you a bunch of potential products so this these posture characters here are massive winning product you know this this healthcare self-heating neck protection this could be a cool product as well right and you have to keep in mind the four factors that I explained it to start what makes a good winning product so you want to look for something that solves a problem and all the other things I talked about I’m not going to repeat them now but you have to keep those things in mind so this this would be a cool product you know you can keep searching and then you want to go through different categories so this acupuncture 10 was also a winning product that did really well this is some sort of device for headache so this looks cool as well and when a product has a lot of orders this tells you that it’s proven to sell well and so that’s always a good sign but what you can do is you can take it one step further so I’m just gonna pick one of these products I like this one here so this this neck support massage your thing I’m gonna copy the whole link and now we can see that there’s 3,000 orders on this thing but what I really want to know because I don’t really care if there’s 3,000 orders what I care about is how much has it been selling in the last month in the last two months so to do this you can go to the drop shipping center so you go to my Aliexpress and then drop shipping center and if you don’t have this unlocked I have a link in the description you just click it and it’s gonna take you to the drop shipping center because you need to click a direct link once first and then it’s going to unlock this tab and you’re in your Aliexpress so once you’re here you can go to the product analysis tab and then just paste the product here and there we go and now we can get the insights of how much this product has actually been selling so as you can see this product has been stalling about 10 to 20 units a day and sometimes you know there was a big of a bit of a spike here 80 orders but that’s not that good of a sign usually I would want to see it at least at 100 200 if it has 3000 orders so it’s not getting that many orders relative to its total order count which makes me think that maybe this was a good product a little while back and now it’s kind of died down but you also want to keep in mind that when someone finds a winning product and they start scaling it they’re not gonna keep using Aliexpress they’re gonna switch to you know using CSV drop shipping with the supply or using drop shipping agents or whatever it may be so you want to look at these stats with a grain of salt but it’s still good insight to show you how well this product is selling so that’s you know that’s interesting information and you can also see the logistics reliability of this supplier so if you were actually fulfilling your orders on Aliexpress this tells you that this is an excellent supplier and you could totally rely on them for to dropship with with this supplier now another cool part about the drop shipping Center is if you go to the hot drop shipping items tab and this is going to suggest you a bunch of cool products and this is related based on what you’ve been searching on Aliexpress so yours might look a little bit different than mine but as you start doing more and more product research and start searching through the categories that are relevant to your niche this should also be relevant to two products that you’re you know that you would be interested in so yeah these are all products that have a ton of orders right like this 178 thousand a thousand 32,000 just like all good products and this one right here I’m actually this one’s standing up because I know that this is a really good product this has been a winning product for a lot of people and basically this is like a mini perfume bottle for people who don’t want to carry the whole perfume around and I think this is also like for the for airport right it’s like the exact size that you can carry on a plane so this allows you to you know carry your perfume while you’re traveling and you know this is a winning product for sure that solves a problem you know you can’t it solves the problem not being able to bring your perfume on a plane it’s it’s novel you don’t find this in stores the low availability you know all the factors it has the wow factor so this is a great product and super easy to find it right all I did was I went to this hot drop shipping items tab and I clicked here and now you can start searching on Facebook start looking for your competitors and see how they’re dealing with it so the next method I’m going to talk about involves using Instagram and basically to give you an overview of the method what you want to do is you want to create a new account and then follow as many promo pages as possible and what a promo pages is it’s a page that does a lot of promotions and to find these pages you kind of have to do a lot of research on your own but if you click the first link in the description to the notes from this video I’m gonna have a list of pages that do a lot of promotions to get you started then you can follow all these pages and then when once you do this you can check what products are being advertised regularly and if you see a product that keeps being advertised then that means that it must be selling well because otherwise people wouldn’t be promoting it so that’s what you can do and then once you follow a lot of these pages that do a lot of ads your explore page is gonna start being tailored towards that and you’re gonna see a lot of ads in your explore page as well and that’s that’s what you want because then you can start scrolling through your explore page and searching for ads that way and then that can give you other product ideas as well so I’m gonna hop on Instagram real quickly and show you what I mean so this is an example of a promo page this one is called moody teen post and also keep in mind that the promo pages you follow should also reflect the niche that you’re trying to sell in so if you’re trying to sell in the outdoors niche don’t follow promo pages like moody teen post rate if you follow moody teen post you’re gonna get ads directed at you know young teenage girls so this is yeah this is a promo page and if we scroll down let’s see what kind of ads what kind of ads there are so an easy way you can find ads as if it says someone like something like I need this that’s definitely not so I need this and then this is glass blunt store so this is you know they’re selling glass blunts so this has been a product that’s been these guys have been going for like years now so they’re killing it and yeah they all they been doing is promoting on these influencer pages and selling this glass blunt and that’s a good example of a one product store but I mean not necessarily a good product idea for you to test unless you I mean it’s up to you but I don’t think that’s that great of a product so you can keep looking and um so this one this might be a nod here no this one oh my god I need this this winter lazy quilt with sleeves is amazing it keeps you warm so this is another product idea and then you could check you know three spirit wanders see if they have more more products they’re testing but this page doesn’t even exist anymore so that’s not a good sign but you guys get the point and you can just follow a bunch of these pages and you’re gonna start seeing a lot of promotions which is gonna give you some product ideas so I’m gonna see if I can find one more so yeah this is one right here and having a bad hair day this is a must tag someone who needs this and this is a ionic hairbrush so pretty cool another product idea so yeah you want to follow as many pages like this and then you explore page is gonna start being tailored towards you know finding more ads and you can just keep using Instagram to find more products to sell so I’ve already covered four different methods and now for the fifth and final one I’m gonna be talking about EECOM hunt and ecomp hunt is a paid product research software and basically what it is it’s a curated selection of products so they release new products every day that they find and they probably find them using similar methods that I just showed you in this video so basically EECOM hunt is a time saver it’s if you don’t want to do all these methods that I just show you and spend time to find products manually EECOM hunt has pretty much all the winning products in one place for you to look at now I think it’s around 20 dollars per month but if you’re already an established drop shipper that’s really easy to pay off you know $20 per month with a few sales you know and if you find one product that does well you’re gonna pay it off so it’s a good it’s a good return on investment I know that I definitely got a good return on investment on my paint plan so now I’m gonna quickly gonna hop on econ month just to give you a preview of what it’s like and then that’s gonna be it for the video so this is EECOM hunt and i’m gonna have a link in the description if you want to check it out it’s an affiliate link so if you end up purchasing using that link I’m gonna get a commission and that would support the channel which would be awesome but this is what it looks like they post two new product ideas every day as you can see so this these two from yesterday these two from two days ago and these are all great proven products that you can look into so it saves you the time of having to manually search through you know search through all the different methods that I showed you to find the best products now there’s a lot of alternatives to e-comm hunt and they all pretty much do the same thing but EECOM hunt is the one that I prefer I’ve just tested a bunch of them and this is the one that I found is the best but yeah and then you can just go through all these different product ideas and the cool part is that once you find one that you’re interested in so let’s say that you know the skin repair essence interests me then you can go and you can scroll down so it gives you all the information right here it gives you the product cost and the selling price so right away you can tell that this has really good margins and then the cool part that I like is the links here so you have direct links to Aliexpress Amazon whatever so all I really care about is the Aliexpress link the Facebook ad link and the stores this item so usually I’ll just I’ll check out the Facebook ad first and I can show you like right away who your competitor is and where they found this product from so this is the ad that they found the product from as you can see two weeks ago 710 thousand views so this product is doing well and we know you can check out the odds see what they’re doing and get inspiration that way so that’s basically what EECOM hunt is and it’s basically a time saver like I explained you don’t need to get it but it will save you time and you can just check it once a week or so and you know keep up with the latest trends and the latest products alright everyone so that is it for this video I really hope you enjoyed it I think I covered everything that you need to know about product research for dropshipping so hopefully it was really helpful and if it was please make sure to leave a like and subscribe I put out videos like this one every week and if you haven’t yet make sure to join my mastermind group on Facebook it’s super active and it’s growing really fast and we have people of all levels so wherever you’re on your dropshipping journey you can post a question in there and you’ll have people help you out right away so on that note I’ll see you guys next time

Automating Your Dropshipping Store | $1,382/Day Profit on Autopilot

hey everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be talking about how this new store is making me fourteen hundred dollars a day in profit completely on autopilot and by that I mean that I’m only spending 15 to 30 minutes a day working on this store and everything else is completely taken care of completely automated so first off I want to show you guys some numbers so this is actually a new store that I started late in November so around the 25th of November and since then as you can see the store has done seventy seven point three thousand dollars in sales so it’s been doing really well I’ve been working on scaling it gradually and right now it’s sitting at about six thousand dollars a day in sales and I don’t want to scale it past this point right now because I’m actually in the process of private labeling the product and I don’t want to push it too far before I private label because right now the product is really on top and I don’t want a lot of people copying me but as of now I’m really excited about this brand and I hope that it’s gonna do really well in 2019 but that’s not the point of this video the point is to show you guys how I automate my stores to the point where I only have to do fifteen to thirty minutes of work a day on them so just to show you the proof about the $1400 a day I’m just gonna pull up the last seven days so from the 10th to the 16th and as you can see the total sales were 44k and my profit margins on this store for those 10 for those 7 days I actually did the math before this video and they worked out to 22 percent so it’s 44,000 times 22 and then divided by 7 so 1.3 eight thousand dollars a day in profit and that’s pretty much with you know 15 minutes of work a day so it’s really not bad and I’m gonna be showing you guys exactly how I automate everything in this video so without further ado let’s get right into the content so when you start scaling a dropshipping store there’s three main tasks that you need to take care of that are gonna take a lot of time and that you want to automate as soon as possible so that you can start focusing on the higher level stuff number one is customer service obviously as you start scaling you’re gonna get a lot of messages a lot of emails a lot of comments and you want to have a team in place to respond to all of those in a timely manner so that you know your customers aren’t upset you don’t get a lot of charge backs etc order fulfillment is also something that starts taking up a lot of time as you start scaling especially if you don’t have a good system in place so like if you’re ordering from a Leakes stress or another similar supplier where you have to put in or each order one by one this is gonna take a lot of time it’s really inefficient and that’s another thing that you want to automate as soon as possible lastly marketing is a another time-consuming task right especially when you’re scaling most of you know that once you start scaling it’s not just like you leave your ad sets going and everything everything goes well you have to manage them every day kill bad odd sets create new ad sets and so this takes a lot of time and this is another task that you can partially automate to make your life easier so I’m gonna break down each of those three tasks one by one and show you guys how I automate them first up automating your customer service now the way that I like to set this up is to use a software called Zen desk which is a customer service software and it integrates seamlessly with Shopify so it’s really easy to set all that up and once you’ve got Zendesk Zendesk allows you to keep things really organized so it uses a ticket system which is what most companies use for their support right so Zen desk is a really big company and having this ticket system is going to help you keep things organized and another thing that you can do with Zen desk that I use a lot is macros so macros are basically pre pre written responses to email so you can have a macro for every scenario that happens often and then your customer service agents can just apply that macro and reply to emails and seconds so I’m just gonna quickly show you my Zen desk and what the macros look like so you get a better idea of what I’m talking about because I understand that this might be confusing for beginners so these are the macro settings on my Zen desk for the store that I was showing you at the start and so I have all these macros made so I didn’t actually have to make these myself and my customer service made these so what I tell them to do is I tell them to make macros for whatever scenario keeps on happening based on our refund policy based on our shipping times and everything that I trained them to do so whenever they have you know questions I keep recurring or a problem that keeps happening they’ll make a macro for it and then they can just apply that macro whenever they need to respond to someone so these are just a few of the macros that I have right basic business days cancel before ditched batch cancelled too late cash from delivery so people asking like can I connect a with cash on delivery change address you know if it’s before the dispatcher if it’s too late can charge extra so you know people that email us they say yeah I got charged extra and that’s because of the conversion rate between currencies so all these different problems that happen all the time like delivery tracking not active you know all this type of stuff we have macros for every possible possible scenario so this allows my customer service representatives to easily respond to emails and do it a lot faster I also have a few tips when it comes to actually hiring your customer service representatives so number one is that you want to hire them on upwork.com in my experience that’s the best place all you need to do is you post a job and you explain what you need them to do and you’ll get a ton of applicants and you just need to select the best ones so a few tips here number one is that in my experience the best price range is around seven to eight dollars per hour you’re gonna get a lot of applicants who offer a lot less than that and usually you get what you pay for so those people aren’t gonna be you know fluent in English they’re not gonna be attentive to details and so the quality of the work isn’t gonna be that good so what I like to do is I like to pay a little bit more and get someone that has a lot of experience you know with Shopify with drop shipping with Zendesk and so someone that’s really gonna be able to help me out and take care of things independently without always having to ask me what to do and things like that so $70 per hour is you know that sweet spot that I found that I usually pay for my das now like I just mentioned you want to only hire people with experience using Zendesk the reason being is that especially if you don’t know how to use n desk they can do a lot of things with Zendesk like you wouldn’t even know about for example the macros I didn’t set up any of those macros myself just the customer service representative that I hired has a lot of experience with the Zen desk and so she set all of that up by herself and it’s gonna save a lot of time it’s gonna save me money right because now that she has those macros she can reply to emails faster and not waste time and I pay hourly so everyone wins so hire people with experience it’s definitely worth it now I want to show you the job posting on up work that I put up to hire this representative that I’m talking about so you guys get a better idea of what kind of job posting you need to put on in order to get some good some good customer service reps so this is the job posting that I put up on up work and it’s pretty simple so all I’m saying is we’re looking for an expert customer service representative with experience working in e-commerce we currently have one experienced member on a customer service team and we are looking to add a new member you will be trained by our current customer service representative when you apply please include the word blue so this right here is a really cool thing that you can do and I do this with all my job postings so I put in a word like this when you apply include the word blue and I put it in the middle of the job posting because of what you get a lot on up work is people who just spam a ton of posts just trying to get any job possible right and that’s what I mean with the low quality VA s that are gonna offer a really cheap wage but aren’t actually good workers so putting a little thing like this when you apply include the word blue you’re gonna be surprised that the majority of applicants aren’t gonna include the word blue because they don’t actually read the whole thing they’re just gonna go you know we’re looking for expert customer service ok requirements responsibilities and then done they’re not actually gonna read anything and so by putting this little this little thing here you’re gonna filter out some of the people who aren’t actually attentive to details and you’re gonna get better better employees now requirements like I said I always put experience using Zendesk because I want people who have a lot of experience with Zendesk who know how to work around the different features that it has and experience doing customer service for e-commerce stores now if I would post this again this was four months ago I’ve hired a few more VA since then you know I would probably say experience doing customer service for a dropshipping store so that they actually have you know experience drop shipping they know that it’s coming from China they’re slow shipping times that experience dealing with angry customers and that type of thing so two more quick tips number one is that you want to communicate with your team on skype when needed so what I like to do is I’ll set up a group chat for all my customer service representatives for one store I’ll put them in one group chat and then whenever they have an issue they’re gonna put it in that group chat right and hopefully what happens is that another one of the customer service representatives from that store can help help them out and so I don’t have to do anything and that’s usually what happens for 95% of issues now for the odd issue I’m gonna have to step in and tell them how I want to solve a specific issue so that only happens once in a while but you do need to communicate with your team on skype in order for everything to flow correctly now the last tip I want to give you guys is that you want to put a lot of work training your first customer service rep and make sure that it’s someone that has you know a lot of skills and that’s really good at what they do and by doing that your first customer service rep can kind of be the customer service manager for your for your team and as you start growing and adding more customer service representatives you can count on that first person you you hired to train your new customer service representatives and to handle the issues that they have when they’re just getting started and so that’s exactly what I did I found one really good customer service representative and got them got him to train all my new customer service reps and to take care of them and so that minimizes the amount of work that I actually have to put in and to managing my customer service team so now I’m gonna talk a little bit about how I’ve been automating the fulfillment for this new store so what I’ve been doing is I’ve been using a drop shipping agent which is what I do for all my drop shipping stores I’ve talked about this in my video best alternatives to Aliexpress so I’d recommend watching that one if you haven’t yet but yeah by using a drop shipping agent I’m able to really streamline the fulfillment process especially since I’m focusing on just one product so this is a one product store that I’m the one that I showed you at the start of the video and so it makes it really easy to do fulfillment so what I’m doing is I’m paying my agent ahead of time so I’m sending him money ahead of time and so that he can stock the product so he has a lot of stock of this product at all times and so he can ship out all my orders within 24 hours without any delay and the way that I’m automating this is that he is using an ERP system that he connected to my store and so what an ERP system is is it’s basically a two-way integration between his warehouse and my Shopify store and what happens is that all my orders come in in real time they get shown on his on his end right so he sees my orders coming in on real time and he can package them ship them and as soon as they’re shipped he’s gonna upload the tracking numbers and mark the order as fulfilled on my store without me having to do anything so before when I talked about drop shipping agents I mentioned that you have to do it with Excel sheets and that’s another way to do it and that’s what I’ve been doing for a long time in the past but now I’ve been test this new erp system that he told me about and it makes things a lot easier right like so now I literally don’t have to do anything for my order fulfillment I don’t have to send in new orders with an excel sheet every night it’s completely automated and all I have to do is make sure that he keeps the product in stock and that that I he has enough funds to keep buying the product right so that’s really all I have to do and my order fulfillment is completely automated so I’m gonna quickly show you what that looks like on my store so there isn’t that much that I can show you on my store without revealing too much about my product but basically this app right here at Diane’s yummy is this ERP system that I’m talking about and once this app is installed so I just gave him temporary access to my store he installed this app and now this is a two-way integration like I mentioned so all my orders are automatically gonna go to him and then he can also push back the tracking numbers and mark my orders as fulfilled once they’re shipped so this saves a ton of time and as you can see here there’s nine hundred and eighty six orders processing and the only reason for that is that it’s the weekend it’s Sunday right now and so all those should be shipping out and fulfilled tomorrow so this is a really great system and it saves a lot of time I don’t have to do anything for fulfillment so if you’re at the point where you’re getting over 50 orders per day consistently and you’re looking for a drop shipping agent just shoot me a DM on Instagram and I’ll be glad to refer you to mine so now automating marketing this is probably the toughest one out of all three tasks to automate right especially when you’re just getting started and testing different things one thing that you can do is you can outsource it to an ad agency I have tried this in the past and I wouldn’t recommend it it’s really expensive and the results aren’t that good and the agency just doesn’t share the same passion that you have so like if you’re really trying to scale make this a big thing they don’t really care about that right they just want to meet the benchmark return on adspend and just make sure that they’re doing a good enough job to stay under contract with you and make their monthly fee so ad agencies not really recommended for Facebook Ads for and for beginners in general it’s much better to learn how to do the marketing yourself especially because with drop shipping you’re essentially just a marketer right that’s the main thing that we are we’re marketers and so it’s really important to learn the marketing yourself however during the scaling phase and once you’ve already kind of found what’s working and you’re just trying to spend your money effectively and scale effectively you can’t automate a big chunk of it and that’s what I’m gonna be talking about so right now I’m only spending about 50 minutes at night creating new ad sets and when I said at the start of the video that I’m spending 15 to 30 minutes a day working on this store that’s pretty much all I have to do every day is just create a few new ad sets every night and this really doesn’t take a lot of work usually what I’ll do is I’ll just duplicate some of the assets that are working the best I’ll try some ad sets that are similar to what’s working and I’ll make some you look like audiences and this really only takes about 15 minutes at night and how I manage all of this during the day so during the day I don’t look at my facebook ads at all I don’t have to worry about them what I do is I use automated rules and automated rules allow you to kill ad sets that aren’t performing well during the day so like ad sets that are basically wasting you money and you can use you can do automated rules for all kinds of things and Facebook has a built-in feature for making automated rules but that’s not what I use I use a tool called reveal BOTS and reveal bots is a pretty expensive tool so it’s not for complete beginners but it lets you really to set up some complicated automation rules for your Facebook Ads and basically save you saves you a lot of time especially when you’re scaling and creating a lot of new ad sets every day so I’m gonna quickly show you what my reveal bot setup looks like and hopefully that’s gonna be insightful for those who are interested in automating your marketing and there’s a free trial for a reveal but so you can also check it out if you’re interested in reveal but I’m not associated with them in any way I just like the tool and I think that you guys should give it a shot if you’re spending a lot on Facebook ads so this is reveal bot this is the platform that I use for automated rules and right now I’ve got two two rules running so I’m gonna show you what they’re doing so the first one is broad $50 optimization and what this rule is doing is it’s only applying to one campaign in this third ad account and this campaign is composed only a $50 ad set so different audiences that I’m testing and there’s a ton of $50.00 ad sets in that campaign and most of them are doing well if you average it out over a couple of days but some days some of those audiences might not perform as well and the goal of this optimization is to pause the ad sets that aren’t doing well early on so that I don’t waste money on odd sets on a given date where they’re not performing well so these are the rules so basically I’ve got a bunch of tasks that’s what they call them each one of these is a task and the collection of all those tasks makes up a rule so I’m going to show you what this rule does so the first task here it checks if an odd set has spent over three dollars for that day and if it has it needs to have at least to view content so if it has the less than to view contents but it’s spent over three dollars and it doesn’t have any add to carts or any purchases it’s gonna pause that odd set so just to explain that again if it’s spent over three dollars today and there’s less than two view contents and there’s no Affleck cards or no purchases it’s gonna pause that ad set now these numbers are based off my KPIs key performance indicators so you need to know what numbers you know you’re willing to spend on a given day so it’s it’s important right like you don’t want to just copy these rules for your own store because it might not work for you like I I picked these numbers based on the data that I have on how much I can spend on these ads so another task is if it’s spent over six dollars today and there’s less than four view contents and there’s no add two cards or no purchases again it’s gonna pause that ad set if it’s bent over twelve dollars today and there’s less than two out two cards less than one purchase so there’s no purchases and there’s only one Add to Cart or no Add to Cart it’s gonna pause that ad set so this one if it’s spent over sixteen dollars today and there’s no purchases yet it’s gonna pause that ad set this one if it spends over twenty eight dollars and there’s no purchases it’s going to pause that ad set this one if it’s spent over forty two dollars and there’s less than three purchases it’s gonna pause that’s it and this one this is the last task for this rule if it’s spent over forty nine dollars and so basically if it’s spent the majority of its budget for the day and the rolls on that day is less than one point six which is a little bit higher but it’s around like break-even point so anything below my break-even point I’m gonna cut it out every day and so that’s what this rule does it basically optimizes my campaign with a bunch of $50 ad sets and it’s gonna pause the ones that aren’t doing well on a specific day but now I’ve got another rule complements this one which basically reactivates ad sets that were turned off by this first rule but that you know should be turned back on because in the last few days they have a good historical performance so I’m gonna show you what that rule does this one it checks every every 30 minutes but it only really needs to check once a day but it checks every 30 minutes I could change that and so what this does is if spent today is equal to zero and the only way that spen is gonna be equal to zero is that the odd set is paused so basically if the odd set is paused and the row as in the last three days has been higher than two so if basically I’m checking if there’s any add sets that are paused that had a good row as in the last three days and if that’s the case it’s gonna restart those add sets so this is the rule that I call broad Auto reactivate and so with those two rules I’ve got this one campaign with a ton of $50.00 ad sets that are getting turned off when they’re not working well and then they’re getting reactivated if they showed good results in the last three days so this is the rule that I’m using these are the two rules that I’m using right now and I’m still learning a lot about reveal BOTS so I’m gonna implement a bunch of new rules but reveal bots is a really good way to optimize your Facebook campaigns automatically without you having to sit at the computer so that is pretty much the setup that I’m running for automation on this store now there’s a few tasks that aren’t automated so number one is business and growth strategy for this particular store I’m trying to grow it into a real private label brand so I’ve already started the process of getting it private labeled and I want to get custom content made with it I want some lifestyle photos with models so I’m doing all of this stuff and this is the growth and the business and growth like my future plans for this business and obviously that’s not automated now if you you could automate this by hiring some some CEO or something like that but I mean we’re entrepreneurs this is the fun part so and this doesn’t even take that much time right so like you only need to put in a few hours like one specific day and then not worry about it until the next thing happens if you know what I mean so this isn’t automated but I don’t I don’t really want it to be this is like probably the most important part and so yeah another thing that’s not automated is generating content so once I do finish private labeling this I’m gonna have to spend some time contacting influencers contacting models contacting production companies whatever it may be so that I can generate content for this product so that I can really scale it scale it as much as possible now there are some waste out sort the outsource this you can use up work and hire some project managers to take care of whatever project you want so you can really outsource anything you want with up work you just hire a project manager and you tell them what you want to do but if you’re trying to save money or if you just think that you’re the most qualified to do something it doesn’t hurt to do it yourself so that’s why I’m doing these things myself like business and growth strategy I think that I’m the most qualified because I have the vision for the brand and I know exactly what I want to do so I don’t want to just outsource it to someone else same thing with generating content I will outsource some of my content sometimes like econ vids if you haven’t heard of it it’s econ vids com they make they make videos for e-commerce and it’s pretty it’s pretty expensive but for what you get it’s a good deal I think it’s $400 for a viral Facebook ad and so that’s one way that you could outsource video content and the last thing that’s not automated is the finances so when you’re running at a scale like this so I’m getting about six thousand a day in sales right now I do need to manage the cash flow so like I need to send money to my agent right so that he can keep purchasing stock ahead of time I need to communicate with my accountant when it comes time to do taxes all that time all that type of stuff right and for me specifically this doesn’t apply to everyone but since I’m in Canada I have to manage the multi currency aspect of things because I get paid in u.s. dollars and then I need to convert some into Canadian dollars to cover some expenses so I need to keep a keep track of all the finances for the store but again that doesn’t take that much time and that’s why I have an accountant so pretty much everything is automated but but these few things here and in total this adds up to about fifteen to thirty minutes of work a day on this store yeah excluding the the business and growth strategy once I start really once I start really trying to make this into a proper private label brand and growing this and that’s probably gonna be around the start of 2019 so January February I’m gonna be putting a lot more work than just fifteen to thirty minutes a day but right now where it’s at it’s lately Alma taught emitted minus just creating new ad sets every night alright everyone so that is pretty much it for this video I hope it was helpful and that you enjoyed it if you haven’t yet make sure to leave a like and subscribe and leave a comment below telling me what you want to see next I would really appreciate it and last thing if you haven’t yet make sure to join the mastermind group on Facebook it’s gonna be the first link in the description I think we just closed over 5,000 members now so it’s growing really fast and it’s a really active community of people who actually drop ship and do e-commerce so make sure to join that group if you haven’t yet and on that note I’ll see you guys next time

[Case Study] One Product Dropshipping | $1,032,512 in 5 Months

hey everyone Gabriel here and in this video I’m gonna be doing a case study on one of my drop shipping stores that’s done over a million dollars in sales in just under five months so I’m gonna be taking you through how I selected the product higher-end the ads and how I managed to stay consistent as the niche was getting more and more competitive so first off let me just show you some proof so I’m gonna go all the way back to July which is when I started the store and then until the end of November so that’s five months and it’s gonna load the data right now so this is obviously not fake there you go so one point zero three two million since July 21st so more like four months not really five but I just said five so we’re all clear so as you can see this stores been doing really really well and at the end of video I’m gonna be taking you through a profit and loss statement to show you how much I actually profited off of this one million because obviously it’s not all profit and I want to be as much as as transparent as possible with you guys so that you don’t have unrealistic expectations wanting to go into the drop shipping business because in order to achieve numbers like this you obviously need to spend a lot of money so I hope that you guys enjoy the PNL breakdown at the end of the video because I haven’t seen anyone else share that information with their subscribers so without further ado let’s get right into the content so first off I want to talk a little bit about the product how I found it and why I decided to test it this is a one product drop shipping store and 99% of sales came from just one product so obviously picking the right product played a really important part in the success of this store if you haven’t yet I definitely recommend that you watch my free course video on my channel I it’s sort of a part one to this video because I’m talking about the same store just different topics so in that video I kind of covered the whole one product drop shipping store strategy that I use and in this video I’m gonna be focusing more on what type of product works well how I around my ads and how I manage to stay consistent and the special part about this video too is that I’m gonna be showing you guys the profit and loss statement at the end the video so yeah I definitely watch that video first and come back to this one after so the product itself solves a problem and it has a very large target market and that second part is really important so solving a problem is really important but if it solves a problem that only is very specific and only so many people are affected by that problem it’s gonna be hard to scale it right versus a product that solves a very broad problem affects a lot of people like for example teeth whitening is a great example right a lot of people have yellow teeth and the target market for that is massive so you want a problem that has a very large target market and those are the products that you can scale the most another thing is that this product was very competitive even when I started it already had over 15,000 orders on Aliexpress which a lot of people would consider saturated read to me that was more of a sign that there was a lot of demand for this product and so that didn’t scare me away so when you see a lot of orders on a product it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s saturated and that you can’t make money from it right it just means that there’s a lot of demand a lot of people wanted so it’s honestly a good selling if you see that many orders on a product how I found the product is actually through EECOM hunt eat come hunt is my favorite product research tool I have a link in the description if you’re interested and I was going through the older pages and I saw this product and I saw that it solved a problem and it had a very large target market right so instantly I was like this product probably does really really well then I went ahead and I went on Google Trends and I saw the start of an uptrend so it was a really good time to get in for this product and so I decided to test it right away with Facebook Ads so once I found the product and I decided to test it the next step was to find my competitors so that I could model what they were doing except do it better so what I did to do this is I searched for the product name on at espresso if you don’t know what at espresso is it’s a website about Facebook ads and they have a tool that allows you to find competitor ads and I’ll put a link in the description but yeah I went to add espresso and I searched the product name and I found an ad for it from a few months back with about five million views and that to me was another confirmation that the product was doing really well I saw in the comments there was a lot of engagement everyone wanted it and you know so this was a really good song for me and what I did was that I made my own ad modeling that one except I tried to make it better so I found some clips from YouTube and I split them up and I put them together with Animoto which is a video editor I talked about how I make ads with any moto in one of my videos so you just should definitely check that out and yeah so I made my own ad modeling the one that I found and right away I started testing it with what I call the quick testing strategy so I talked about the strategy in a few of my other videos but basically what this strategy entails is that you want to run a PP campaign to a really broad audience so in this case what I did was I literally ran a PPA campaign to all 18 to 55 men and women worldwide no detail targeting and what this allowed me to do is get really really cheap engagement out of low-cost Facebook is able to optimize to whatever demographic is performing the best and what this does is that I’m getting a lot of engagement really cheap and then this gives me social proof and it also gives me video views and the important part here is to get the video views because once I get the video views I can build a 95% video of yours custom audience and then build some look-alike audiences from that so it’s a really easy look-alike audience to test because it’s easy to get enough views to build a custom audience and then build a look-alike audience from it so I I ran this PP campaign till I got about a hundred thousand views on the ad and then I built the ninety-five percent video viewers look-alike audiences for the US the UK Canada and Australia and as I wrote here I tested the one percent one to two percent and two to five percent for the US two percent two to five and five to ten percent for the UK Canada and Australia and that’s why I launched the test for this product so a lot of people ask what my testing method is this is usually what I do I just run a PPT campaign get enough video views and then build some look-alikes from that and usually it works really well if you have a good product um it might not be profitable right away but usually if it’s a good product you’ll get a few sales and it’s enough to get you started and to start optimizing with so this is how I started testing this product so like I said with this quick testing strategy you’re not always gonna be profitable right away but the way you need to think of it is that you’re buying data you’re not losing money and so in this case it took me three days to become profitable and this is usually what results look like for me it’s not profitable right away at the start I’m losing money but I’m buying data and then once I have that data I can follow what the data is telling me and then opt or optimize towards that and start scaling that way so I’m actually gonna show you day-by-day what the first three days look like so you get an idea of what I was seeing on my end so this was July 20th before I started running ads and then July 21st was the first day so on that day I spent 28 dollars and only it made 138 back so 0.5 Riaz which wasn’t good but I would see that really broad audiences were already being profitable and this was telling me that you know this is a good product I just need to narrow down my targeting and figure out the right audience but to me just even getting a point five Rojas on the first day that’s a good song because I’m already getting some sales on the first day when I’m just trying to figure out who my audience is so let’s see what happened on the next day on the 22nd so then at this point I was creating more look-alike audiences I’m killing what wasn’t working and as you can see the Rojas got a little bit better and I’m spending more so it went from 0.5 to one point four five and then if I go to the next day you can see it got a lot better again and the budget went up so now we’re spending 1.5 kit and the realize is one point seven six so you guys get the idea and then I was just creating a lot of look-alikes from all the data that I had at this point and trying to trying to figure out what works and killing what doesn’t work and I did this consistently so I’m just gonna keep going so a little bit of a drawback but others you have to consider that I’m scaling at the same time right so the more you scale it’s harder to maintain profitable so I was scaling and then killing what wasn’t working so I’m gonna go keep going the 25th so again 3.4 k spent 1.74 so it’s getting a little bit better and I’m starting to figure out what’s working at the same time I’m scaling my ad spend so now July 26th I really scaled my ad spent to 5 point 4 K and now the rose is 1.96 and this was really profitable for this store the breakeven Roz was 1.5 1.6 ish so with this rule as I was making about 20-25 percent profit on the 10k so that’s about 2 grand a day which really isn’t bad so this is why I recommend beginners to stay away from Facebook yards because in my experience you need to spend a lot of money to get started so if you only have like $200 to get started in my opinion it’s not enough to start running Facebook ads because it’s not enough to properly test your audiences some people make it work with like $5 headsets and that type of thing it’s personally just not the strategy that I use and I haven’t had experience with that so yeah that’s that’s why I recommend having some budget to start out with Facebook Ads because when you’re starting out you’re losing money and then you start figuring out what works and doubling down on that and that’s when you can really become bull and skill now I want to talk a little bit about consistency and I managed to stay consistent over the five months and this is really important a lot of people will find a winning product and they’ll make it work for about a month and then it’ll die out and then they’ll try to find the next thing but it’s it you’re able it’s possible to stay consistent with just one product if you follow these tips so number one is that you want to be consistently introducing new creatives and write creatives I mean new ads and this is really important um ad fatigue is when an ad stops performing well because it’s been seen too much and Facebook just doesn’t distribute it as much it doesn’t get as much reach and this happens all the time like if you’re using the same creative over for like over a month it’s not gonna do as well anymore and that’s just that’s just fact so you definitely need to keep introducing new creatives and if you don’t your creative is gonna burn out and your product will no longer be profitable so what I did is I sent the product to five people on Fiverr to get content made according to my needs so I told them exactly what I wanted to deal with the product and they recorded these clips and then I used those clips to make to make different ads on any moto and over those five months I ended up testing over 20 video variations for my main video ads for cold traffic and so testing all these different variations and introducing new creatives every month at least it’s better to do it like weekly or every two weeks you definitely want to keep introducing these new creatives and keep testing new things in order to to stay on top of things and to fight ad fatigue to make sure that you’re getting the best possible deal for your money in terms of acquiring customers now another thing that you want to really keep in mind is that Skrill stoppers are the most important thing with your video and let me explain what I mean by Skrill stopper basically what I mean by Skrill stopper is the first three seconds of your video when someone’s scrolling down their feet because most people most people go on social media on mobile and they’re just scrolling at full speed down their feed and you need to have something right away in the first like two three seconds that catches their attention or else they’re just gonna keep scrolling and they’re not going to engage with your app and this is the main thing that you want to test because if you have a good scroll stopper it’s gonna be the difference between a really really high CPM and a low CPM which allows you to be profitable so this is the main thing that I tested in my variations obviously I tested more than that but the main thing I tested just the first three seconds and I kept testing different scroll Stoppers right so you could have an ad that was written really well last month and then it kind of died off this month you don’t have to change the whole ad you could literally just test a new scroll stopper so in your first three seconds in front of the ad and then that could make that ad very profitable again so testing scroll Stoppers was a major major point for the success of the store consistently another important tip to stay consistent is to use different creatives for retargeting you don’t always want to show the same ad to the people going through your funnel you want to show them different ads so that they’d start trusting your business and that you know they’re not they don’t feel like they’re being spammed with the same ad over and over again so you definitely want to show different ads based on where they are in the funnel and this is really important and this will also decrease ad fatigue if you always show the same ad your ads are gonna get fatigued a lot faster and it’s just Facebook doesn’t like that so use different ads for retargeting and you can use the same ad but don’t only use that you also want to mix it up and what I find works really well is using image ads for retargeting image ads for cold traffic usually don’t work as well for me but using them for retargeting people who are already aware of your product and of your brand it usually works great for retargeting another thing is you can use like testimonials so I can image with a review from a customer or something like that those type of ads work great for retargeting don’t just use the same video ad that you’re using for cold traffic for all your retargeting audiences now another thing that I wrote here is this is just a breakdown of the percentages of how splitting up my budget on Facebook now this is not an exact thing that you should do you don’t have to measure this but I just wanted to give you guys an idea of how I was spending my money so 45 percent of my ad spent went into look-alike audiences so the main the main thing that I was spending on was look-alike audiences 23% was broad interests and 32% was retargeting so about a third of my ads spent went into retargeting so that gives you an idea of how much you should be retargeting because those will give you the easiest profits so over time this product was getting more and more competitive a lot of people were even copying my stores things like that but the reason that I was able to keep dominating was that I continuously made new ads and this is really what sets you apart from the rest of dropshippers most dropshippers will not make their own content they’re literally just copy people’s ads and run that until it stops working and then they’re like oh this product is that and that’s not how it works you have to keep making new ads and this will allow you to get an edge on your competitors and to keep doing well with the product over a long period of time so for this product I’m still selling it and I’m still making new ads for it and this will allow me to keep selling it for a long time now another thing is that you want to kill poor performing ad sets every day and create new ones similar to the top performing ones and this is really important you don’t want to just let your ad set to be run by themselves until they die then just kill them because you’re not going to be able to maintain a high ad spend you need to continuously check on your ad sets kill the ones that are performing and creating new ones and I talked a lot about this in my other Facebook ad videos like this isn’t a Facebook ad video so I’m not going to be going too in depth about this but it’s an important point if you’re trying to stay consistent you need to keep optimizing your ads so now the part that you’ve all been waiting for how much profit did I actually make on the 1 million dollars in sales well the answer is that net profit was around 19.8% including all fees and expenses the biggest expense by far was advertising second was cost of goods sold and I’m gonna get into the detailed profit and loss statement in a few seconds but I just want to say that this business isn’t for people who are scared to spend money and this is something that I see a lot especially like in my comments when I read the comments I get a lot of comments saying like only 20% profit this type of thing and it’s you know 20% is really not a bad profit margin at all especially when you’re scaling you can’t expect to just you know spend like $10 and make back a thousand that’s not how it works it’s a really competitive business and you need to spend money in order to make money so that’s just something that I wanted to put out there if if this is you you need to you need to get comfortable with spending money if you want to last long term with this business because ad costs are only gonna keep increasing and it’s only gonna keep getting harder so here’s the detailed profit and loss statement for the store I’m just gonna zoom in a bit and you can see so I filled in from July to November which was the 1.03 million in sales as you can see and the cost of goods sold was about 30% year–so 316,000 and so the grills profit was seven hundred and sixteen thousand before ads now the main expense here was Facebook Ads as you can see four hundred and sixteen thousand so you know a lot was spent on Facebook ads now I also spent on some Instagram influencer ads so that’s for about thirty eight point six thousand dollars Google Ads eleven point six thousand these are payment processor fees so thirty eight point six thousand my apps on Shopify so it actually adds up when you when you look at it like it doesn’t seem like it but it does add up to a hefty amount so 1.6 K on apps my Shopify plan added up to three hundred forty five dollars and then my VA is four point nine seven thousand so my total expenses come to about 550 500 eleven thousand and the net profit comes to about two hundred four thousand which is nineteen point eight percent so there you have it that’s the detailed profit and loss statement and as you can see I mean I’m spending a lot I had to spend five hundred and eleven thousand in expenses plus three hundred and sixteen thousand in cost of goods sold so you have to spend a lot in order to make a lot and to people who say only twenty percent you know twenty percent of $1,000,000 really really isn’t bad over five months so I’m not complaining with twenty percent margins and neither should you because if you have twenty percent margins and you can scale even if you have ten percent margins and you can scale you can still make a lot of money so you should you shouldn’t really care about low profit margins if it’s profitable and you’re able to stay consistent with it alright everyone so that is pretty much it for this case study I really hope you enjoyed it I hope you liked seeing the profit and loss statement at the end of the video because not a lot of people show that and I’m sure that it’s gonna be really insightful for you guys to get an idea of what the expenses look like when you’re scaling a dropshipping store if you haven’t yet make sure to subscribe to the channel I draw up videos like this one all the time and I would really appreciate
